My Medicare Part D insurance company wants me to take an alternative medication to cyclobenzaprine tab 5 mg. The ins. co. is asking me to choose between baclofen and tizanidine. I have had great success with the round blue m771 generic cyclobenzaprine, but the tiny pink cyclobenzaprine did not help my pain from sciatica, spinal stenosis and two herniated disks. I found a blue oval pill with M117 on it. Any ideas what it is? ## The closest match I've been able to locate has the imprint "M 771" as opposed to "M 117". This pill is also blue, but it's shape is round instead of oval. M 771 is identified as Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride (5 mg); which is a muscle relaxant, used for muscle spasms, migraines, and more. If this does not match your pill, you may want to consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. And as a last resort, you could ask them about getting the pills ingredients lab tested and brought back to you. There is a blue 5mg manufactured by Mylan, it should have an M on one side and the numbers 771 on the other.
