Is this a generic xanax or is it somethin else ## No Xanax at all! Cold Medicine L 441 (Doxylamine 25 mg) ## Hi Lauren, Eddy is actually right. The pill you're describing is identified as Doxylamine succinate (25 mg); manufactured by Perrigo Company. I believe it's available OTC as well, judging from the imprint. Doxylamine is a first generation antihistamine. It can be used by itself as a potent, but short-term sedative and in combination with other drugs to provide night-time allergy and cold relief. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Doxylamine Details I hope this info helps!

if you don't know what xanax looks like or at least tastes like then you shouldn't be buying or taking them... some lil blue pill might just kill you.... ## That is very wise advice. No one should take anything, if they don't know what it is and it has not been prescribed for them by their doctor. The blue, oval tablet with the L 441 marking actually contains 25mgs of Doxylamine, it is available over the counter. The FDA lists it as an antihistamine that's used to treat allergies and for its sedative like effects. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Are there any other questions or concerns?

It is best not to take pills when you don't know what they are. Thank you ## Eddy is right, a blue tablet with L441 is actually Doxylamine 25mg which is an over the counter sleeping pill. I verified it on the NIH pillbox site.
