I personally had high blood pressure for a number of years, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways such as: Low/no sodium foods to help reduce inflammation and water retention; supplementation of garlic, as well as calcium, m...

my doctors prescription is has follows AMIODPINE 5MG,BENDROFUMETHIAZIDE 2.5 CANDESARTAN 8MG, HALF INDERAL LA 80MG, ## Hello, Doris! How are you? I understand your concern, many people worry, when they are prescribed multiple medications. However, the relevant question is, while taking them, what are your blood pressure levels and your heart rate? And how high was your blood pressure before taking them? If someone's blood pressure is dangerously high, they are often prescribe multiple medications to bring it down safely as fast as possible to get them out of danger. Then once they are stable at a lower blood pressure level, medications can be stopped or changed, as needed.

I have been taking 50 mg twice a day of metoprolol tartrate since May. Doc wants to double the dose all at once...200 mg a day because BP was elevated a little (from a panic attack, I believe). So the 50 mg scored pills were a pink pill. The 100 mg pills are blue scored pills. If I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, is cutting the scored 100 mg tablet the same as two 50 mg tablets? I do have panic/anxiety disorder and med phobia..thats why I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, especially because of the side effects I had when I started the 50 mg tablets...i.e., anxiety, nervouness, dizziness. I expressed to her my concern and she said, "you"ll be fine". Completely did not understand or care about my concerns. Thanks for any answers you can give as far as...

HI IM TAKING RAMEPRIL FOR BLOOD PRESSURE CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT DIET PILLS ARE SAFE TO TAKE ## Hello, Allison! How are you? No, you should not take that, if you have high blood pressure, because it is actually well known for elevating blood pressure and heart rate, as reported by the U.S. FDA. Before taking anything, since you have high blood pressure, you should check with your doctor. What are your normal blood pressure levels with the Ramipril?

I started taking kin tablets for the past one month but am seeing no significant reduction in the level of blood pressure measurement. I.E. it was 160/105 when started taking kin tabs. It came down to 139/91 two weeks ago. Today it measured 160/105, 154/102, and 155/101. ## What dosage are you taking and how often do you take them? And when are you checking it? Is it immediately after activity? After you're eating? And how close together in time are you checking it? As reported by the NIH, all of these factors can affect your readings, at any given time. Do you also eat a healthy, low salt and low fat diet? Do you make sure to get plenty of exercise? Are you on any other medications?

Please tell me the difference between cardibeta tablets & cardibeta 'xr' tablets? ## They both contain the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and various cardiac conditions. The only different is that the XR designates the one as being a time released formulation. Rather than releasing all of the medication, at once, it is slowly released to help better control your medical condition. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

can Twynsta 80/10 be cut in half and taken as Twynsta 40/5 ? ## From the information I've found, it seems that the tablets should not be cut, the advisory information says they should be swallowed whole. Usually this means that the medications is either time released, or there is some special coating to help prevent damage that it may due to the linings of your gastro-intestinal system. Learn more Twynsta details here. Have you asked your pharmacist?

I have been taking Coveram 5/5 for some time now and had my blood pressure checked about 3 weeks ago (for an insurance that I was taking out). My blood pressure was 85/60 which I believe is very low. I have since stopped taking the Coveram as I was afraid that it was causing my blood pressure to drop too much. I had also been taking a product called Stress-Away (made by TIBB) and wonder if this might have caused this reaction. Since that very low reading, i have also stopped taking the Stress-Away tablets and have felt no ill effects from the lack of either tablet. I am a little concerned about this and was wondering if I am doing any damage to my system. ## Rather than stopping the medication, it would have been better to speak to your doctor, since letting your condition continue untr...

I'm taking Carvedilol tab, an oval tab with E on front and 03 on back for my B/P and I had moved. I went to the cvs as usual. Got my script filled. It wasn't the same mfg. and I'm kind of leery about taking a different name brand. Should I be? ## Hello, Cher! How are you? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. What are the markings on the tablets you received from CVS?

can gingko bibiloba be tajen while on prexum ## Have you consulted your doctor? Prexum contains the active ingredient Perindopril, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The problem, however, is that the Gingko is an herbal supplement and these products are not tested for possible interactions with prescription medications. My husband had a heart attack. Pharmapress was 1 of the tablets they gave him. He stopped using it because his bp drops so low to 92/73 that he almost faints. The doctor told him to take half or a quarter, but the result stayed the same. The BP is far below 120/80. ## Is he on any other medications? That can be a side effect of this medication, according to the NIH, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. Has he informed his doctor that problem continued? He may need to switch to a different medication. I had one that caused me similar problems. ## May I use Pharmapress 10mg instead of Prexum Plus 5mg for a few days? Kindly advise.

Hi, I do have a low blood pressure. I faint often and feel weak always inspite of having good diet. Pls help me out with a curing tablet. ## If you don't mind me asking, what does your diet look like on an average daily basis? I am studying in the nutrition field, so I feel as if I may be able to help in this regard. First and foremost, if meat and dairy are a part of your diet, you can experience all sorts of problems in the long term. Both are carcinogenic and/or mucus forming to the human body. I am a 39 year old man and my BP was always 160/100 + but later my doctor said to take Telmikind AM instead of Amcard 5. I also added a new tablet to my daily chart, Trika 0.25 tablet. Now my BP is 119/20 in normal condition, but now I only take these tablets when I need them, otherwise when I feel better I will not take any tablet. I also think the Trika 0.25 helps me cure me blood pressure because this is the medicine of hyper tension and hyper tension is the major cause of my BP. Thank you. ## Actually, using a blood pressure/cardiac medication in such a manner is very dangerous, you should be taking it all the time regularly. Taking it for awhile, as needed, then stopping creates the risk of it causing rebound effects, which could cause severely elevated blood pressure and heart rat...
