Bloating

I am wondering if any of you who take Lyrica are having a problem with bloating. I've gained only ten pounds in a year and I think it's all in my abdomen. By evening it's really uncomfortable, not pain, just a very full feeling that goes clear up under my rib cage. My sciatic pain is zero until I try to wean off Lyrica and then it returns quickly. I was treated for H.Pylori Bacteria and medicine was given for 14 days.After that Caps Providac was adviced,2 caps daily.1 after Lunch & 1 after Dinner.I also take Tryptomer 25mg daily + Nitrosun 10mg for sleep.My BP & BS is under control.My age is 69 yrs.Should I take Providac before or after meals???Please advice.Should I continue tryptomer 25mg for a long time??If constipated I prefer Isabgool Husk(2TPS) with water.Is Nitrosun a habit forming drug???

I stopped taking Xifaxan. How long until the bloating goes away? ## Xifaxan is an antibiotic, and its other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. It may take a week, or two for the gas/bloating to fully go away, depending on how long you were taking it. Are you on any other medications? ## You might try taking probiotic capsules such as Florastor since that brand is able to survive the onslaught of antibiotics on your system. It's important to keep the "good" flora in your digestive system and could help to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.

i am taking lercanidipine tablets 10mg also irbesartan tablets 300mg also nexium ec tablets 20mg and half asprin. iam suffering from bloating and discomfort in the stomach area. would this combination , or any one of these medications be causing my problem ? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Any of the medications you've listed may cause such side effects, or it may be a combination of taking them all. You really need to talk to your doctor, because the Nexium may not be the right medication to help you prevent this from occurring. Have you tried any other antacids?

I have been taking terbinafine for about 37 days now. I also had my gallbladder removed on April 8th of this year. My eating habits are relatively the same, yet I have gained 13 pounds in a month. I guess my question is did the medication make me gain weight or is it because I have no gall bladder? I also have extreme belly bloating now that I'm very unhappy about. ## Hello, Christine! Hi, I am a 26 year old female. I have had a history of bloating problem. Ususally it used to happen around periods, but ocassionally it used to persist through out the month. Once a doctor told me vit B12 deficiency was the reason, I took B12 shots and the problem subsided. After a year, the problem reappeared, this time B12 didnt help, I was given Cintapride and unienzyeme. It worked. A year later now, the problem has reappeared, Cintapride with a semethicone (gasofilm) hasnt worked, Nexipride i.e levosulpride with uniemzyme hasn't worked either. Hi everyone. Near the end of September, I started a 14 day course of Doxycyclin (the specific brand name was Cyclidox). 100mg twice a day, with lots of water, an hour before meals, as instructed. During the course I experienced severe bloating, trapped gas, abdominal cramps, abdominal pain, and belching (burping). The probiotics I was taking didn't seem to make any difference. I knew that any of the Tetracycline antibiotics, and especially Doxycycline, could have gastro side effects, and I stuck with the pills, after contacting my GP who prescribed them. i hav problem of frequent dirrhoia,fullness ,blotting after eating,burning in easophagus and not proper evacuation in the mornoing.Recently I had dirrohia after which i had cipro-oz for 5days as prescribed by my physician.After 3-4 days again i had prob of having 3-4 stools accompnied by burning ,bloating,fullness nausia as usual. I have been on Linzess for about a month. I have not had any of the severe side effects mentioned, just the bloating and gas. Does anyone know when those side effects will stop? For the most part the Linzess has worked, I am having regular bowel movements. Since I am so bloated it is hard to eat and therefore I have lost weight that I did not need to loose. I'm not sure, but you may be able to take Simethicone with it, if your doctor approves it.

what are the side effects of taking Dida? ## Dida is an over the counter herbal supplement that is claimed, but not proven, to help with gastrointestinal problems. It contains oregano, olive leaves, potmarigold, thyme, cardamom, cloves, garlic, cinammon, fennel oil and peppermint oil. It should be used with caution, because some of the herbs it contains, such as the peppermint oil, oregano and cloves can actually further irritate some gastrointestinal problems, such as gastritis and gas. Side effects are not studied for these types of products, as is done for prescription medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, i have been on Lo Lestrin for quite some time now (7 months)and ever since i got on that pill, i usually get very late and light periods. Although, le 26th day of my cycle, my boyfriend and i didn't use the condom for the first time. My husband has these symptoms all the time. Had been told by a GI doctor to use Gas-X. I also bought baby colic drops. Nothing seems to help much anymore. Had endoscopy & colonoscopy, both normal. ## He may have abdominal adhesions. They do not appear on any type of scans as they are transparent. I had a series of colonoscopies over a 5 year period. They came up normal until the last one where the gastro dr could not get the scope through my intestines. At that point they determined the adhesions had entangled my intestines. I am on 5mg of Mounjaro and I get these really bad burps that stink and so much gas I pass wind and burp all night. Painful amounts of gas! Any help with how to get the burps and gas to stop? I have tried Nexium and Gas-X, neither has helped. ## How long have you been taking it? I've been on Linzess for about a week now and the bloating is unbearable. The medication has produced several BM's and I had severe diarrhea the first two days on the medication. The diarrhea has subsided but the bloating continues to get worse. I is painful and it looks like I am 6 months pregnant. I've been on lo loestrin for about 4 months. I got taken off today due to a weight gain of about 15 pounds, constantly feeling hungry, bloating, breakout, and many other side effects.
