Will this pill also reduce swelling from cold sores/fever blisters? ## Hello, Maria! How are you? No, this is an antibiotic that is used to treat or prevent bacterial infections, so it will have no effect on the virus that causes cold sores. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

My husband asked his dr for a medicine to help him stop getting fever blisters everytime he was in the sun for long periods of time, he gave him a prescription for cyclobenzapr, read about it and it days its a muscle relaxer, will it even help with fever blisters and can he take it while on suboxone? ## Hello, KC! How are you and your husband? No, fever blisters are caused by a herpes simplex virus, exposure to the sun tends to wake it up and cause a flare, so this medication will not do anything to prevent them, because as you said, it is a muscle relaxant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. It can be taken with the Suboxone, though it will increase the sedation and drowsiness, so this should be done with caution. The...

I have used terramicina cream in the past for lip blisters, and found it to be really soothing and quickly healed with this treatment. Recently I tried to buy a fresh tube, and the pharmacy said I would be better using another product for cold sores. I did, and it did not work. When I say lip blisters, they are really painful and multiply very fast, and the terramicina cream is very soothing. Is it safe to use for this purpose? ## Hello, Maureen! How are you? Is it safe to use, technically yes, as long as your doctor approves. It is an antibiotic ointment, so it may be soothing to use on cold sores. However, you do have to be cautious about overusing any antibiotic products. However, it is not going to shorten their duration or prevent future outbreaks. If you consult your doctor, they ...

My daughter and I have problems in the winter time with fever and blisters on lips.. Can these pills help control them? ## Hello, Monkey! How are you? Have you ever had them checked out or cultured by your doctor? It sounds like you both might be experiencing cold sores, according to the symptoms described by the NIH, that is usually what causes blisters on your lips, or around your mouth area. They are due to a herpes simplex virus and no, they are not the same as genital herpes, that's a different form of the virus. They tend to occur more frequently, when your lips may be more dry and chapped. However, if that is the case, no this antibiotic will not help. But there is an antiviral medication that you can ask your doctor about prescribing that can help prevent them. It is called ...

I'm type II diabetic and I have been waiting over 10 months to try this product out to lower my morning blood sugar count so I wouldn't have to start shooting insulin. It dropped my morning reading which has been steady at 165 to 115! I take metformin and glipizide but had to quit actos because of a similar problem as I have encountered with the Belviq. My legs retain and swell up with water. I also developed water blisters varying from 1/4" to the size of a quarter. Became uncomfortable and also itched. I quit taking Belviq and the symptoms went away. After a week of being OK I started taking Belviq again and had the same problems. It took about 2 weeks before I started to lose my appetite in the evening. I may try one more time just to make sure it's the Belviq causing...

for genital herpes is terramicina good ## Terramicina contains Oxytetracycline, which is an antibiotic. Therefore, it is not an effective treatment for Herpes, because it is caused by a virus and is incurable. The only way it may help is if some of the Herpes lesions have gotten infected, then it can help with that problem, but it will not have any effect on the actual Herpes Virus. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?

Sutent put sores and blisters on my wife's feet really bad. The doctor took her off it. The fda needs to take a good look at the side effects... ## I definitely agree with you that the FDA needs to step up and take a closer look into the long term effects of whatever they approve for the public... Unfortunately, in any medical situation, a patient has to be their own best advocate. Doctors often prescribe medications according to their experience with how well something has worked for other patients and, when something goes wrong, they are often reluctant to attribute it to the medication. Hopefully your wife is able to find something natural that works just as well or better without the side effects of Sutent. If you take a look at the link below, you can view a list of side effect...

Can this be used for fever blisters ## Hello, Pearl! How are you? Since fever blisters are caused by a virus, rather than a bacteria, this will not help. Fever blisters are also what are known as cold sores, they are caused by a herpes simplex virus, as explained by the NIH. There are over the counter remedies that you can try, if your doctor approves, or if you get them regularly, your doctor can prescribe a medication to help prevent them that's called Acyclovir. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have blisters on my tongue. I know that I am allergic to the atom sulfur as well as sulfa drugs. Do synthroid or trazodone contain sulfur? ## There are far too many to possibly list them all here. Synthroid, however, contains Levothyroxine and neither it, nor the Trazodone are sulfur based, to my knowledge, but you should check with your pharmacist to be sure, since I don't know what all the inactive ingredients may be. Are your doctor and pharmacist aware of your allergy? Can you post back with more information, such as the company that makes the Trazodone that you take, so I can check it for you? ## Does anyone know if I can use hydrocodone7.5 for break through pain. is dukes mouth wash for acid reflux with blisters up ur throat and on the tongue?......and is it made with mylanta and bynadryl? ## This is not a specific prescription item. There are regional items mixed to area doctor's specifications by area pharmacists, so there is no way to say for certain what is in the one you have received or what it can be used to treat. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist? ## What are the directions for taking Duke's Magic mouthwash.

I have yeast on my foot, blisters, pus, skin peeling, and a foul oder. Will this medication help me? ## Hello, Niesha! How are you? Yes, Terbinafine is an antifungal medication. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, indigestion, headaches and vertigo. However, you should only take it, if your doctor has confirmed that you have a yeast infection and that is the appropriate medication for you. There are other problems that could also cause these types of symptoms and this isn't the appropriate medication for all and could even worsen some. ## My. I broke out with skin blisters while taking Levaquin 3 years ago. Today my Doctor has put me on Cipro. My question is if I am allergic to Levaquin will I have the same reaction with Cipro ## Although both medications are in the same fluoroquinolone drug class, I don't believe you'd experience the same type of reaction with a different brand. Your allergic reaction could've also been due to one or more inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that may have been present in the Levaquin and not necessarily in Ciprofloxacin. Have you started taking the Ciprofloxacin yet with any success? ## I started with Cipro on Tuesday and have not seen any adverse reactions to it. I need to take it twice a day for 14 days so far so good. I will keep you apprised of the results. ## I did not ha...
