My husband was diagnosed with RCC in Sept. 2011. Just started on Torisel infusions and after 1st infusion he had terrible constipation, stomach pain and very tired. Took a laxative and then diarrhea. Had 2nd infusion yesterday and now has had three black stools. We are really worried. I am a 24 yr old thin female. It has been on and off for awhile now but had turned consistent. It's not a normal loose stool or diarrhea. It's just slimy and very very dark almost black but then turns the water yellow. It's not a mucous consistency and almost seems to have bile in it. I have a normal bowel movement in the morning as soon as I get up. But, once I have break fast, after some time, heavy pressure creates for motion and it will be loose, black in colour and foul smelling. There after, the entire day is normal. When taking Eliquis as an alternative to Warfarin, I was bleeding from nose, kidneys and bowels with black stools and copious bleeding from a slight scratch. Also easy bruising with purple bruise marks. I have now stopped taking this medication and all bleeding stopped, but there is a lingering effect of purple bruising.Will I ever recover from this? Fortunately I have had no other major side effects but I shall never take this medication again. Should I quit taking the medication if my stool becomes red? It's not bright red, but more less of a dark red. I cannot tell really well because of the side effect of diarrhea. ## Hello, Jim!
