We have found a capsule which is half white and half red with an MK in an oval in black imprinted on each half of the capsule. Any idea what this is? ## I am sorry, but I can't find any information on this. It has popped up a few other times and the theories are that it's a foreign medication, which would also explain why it's not in our databases. Do you happen to know the country of origin? ## I think this is an antibiotic. I got it in Nicaragua so country of origin would be somewhere in Central America. ## Guatemalan medication. are red and white with mk with a black oval around it. My wife's brother gave it to her because she was under the weather with fever and ear aches like almost a common cold or infection. ## Trying to ID a red and white capsule with letters MK ...

Hi, I work in home renovation, and come across many errant pills. Normally it takes minutes to find out what they are. The capsule is marked with the Lederle LL or symbol (cannot tell which, almost looks like a £€ but together) followed by 10 on each half of the capsule, mirrored except the numbers don't switch. The capsule itself is fairly large, about the size of a 500 mg antibiotic, black and teal, and contains a powder that is white with a yellowish tint. It looks just like some 10mg Librium, but much larger. I know they have products like that in india, but I can find no record of this pill being sold from ESI Lederle. It is really bothering me, so if you can help identify this preferably with pictures or citations, I would be very thankful.

can using Sulfamethoxazole Tmp Ds Tablet cause a black tongue? I can't find this as side effect for this medication online ## Yes, it could happen when you are taking this, or any other antibiotic. The black tongue is usually just caused by a yeast fungus overgrowth, so it's just like getting oral thrush from the antibiotic, this is just a bit of a different form. Learn more Bactrim details here. Is your tongue also sore, or is just the discoloration? If it's just black, then that often doesn't even require treatment, you just need to engage in some serious good oral hygiene for awhile. ## I started this medication and almost immediately began feeling a really bad yeast infection (i.e. vaginal burning/itching). I also have extreme oral sensitivity including white sores f...

My Dermatologist suggested that I take xorimax for 4 months to clear my severe acne. I have cystic acne as well as white heads and black heads. I can't take accutane as I am planning to start a family. I was just wondering that isn't that a very long dose of antibiotics. Any suggestions? ## I went through 5 rounds of accutane in my 20's. I had severe bloody noses several times, and what could only be described as clenching headaches one evening that started on one side and moved to the other in an intense throbbing sensation. My dermatologist said it was a precursor to a stroke. After being diagnosed with OCD, going home and reading about it, and realizing stress is just the failure to adapt, I began to sleep better and my acne got better. I also highly reccomend the book (o...

## There was an ointment that my mother would use when we would get a cut or blister or anything that might get infected. This was before antibiotics or antibacterial. It was coal black and smelled slightly of tar or sulphur. She would apply the ointment and bandage the cut and leave for a few days. When the bandage was removed the skin would be healed and looked white for awhile but there would be no scarring or discoloration. Do you know what this was and if so is it available today. I would love to have it as I am sensitive to antibiotics. ## Possibly ichthammol? ## An old-fashioned remedy for deep wounds that must heal from the inside out is: Clean wound with hydrogen peroxide.
