I have been on many birth controls and had issues such as mood swings, anxiety, no libido, and i was very angry all the time with just about all that i have tried. I was curious if people who have had similar problems with other pills had a good or bad experience with lo loestrin. I am currently on the NuvaRing and i love it but my insurance does not cover it so it is too expensive so i am looking for other options. ## Hello, Claire! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you've had. Those types of issues can occur when taking OCs, since they add hormones to your body to prevent ovulation. But many women do better with the low dose ones, so that might apply to you, as well. However, you could still experience nausea, headache, irritability and PMS like symptoms. Can anyo...

I have a UTI and was PRESCRIBED.250MG Ciprofoxacn I also have a recent vomiting issue and the dr.prescribed 25MG of Promethazine. I also take 75mg of Levothyroxin and 600MG of Tripleptal everyday for my bipolor & thyroid problems.. I am wondering cause my fiance and I have unprotected intercourse everynight.. ## Hello, Kookie! How are you? No, there shouldn't be any problems, since Implanon doesn't use estrogens and that is what antibiotics usually affect to decrease the efficacy of contraceptives, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Is there anything else I can help with?

All pills react different ways for different people, the only way to see if it will provide the results you want is to try it and see.

I was taking a birthcontrol , n then I switched to another pill brand before my period started . N now I have all the pains like I'm going to start but nothing. So I'm continuing to take the pill n also saw on line that taking 3000mgs of vitamin -c will bring down your period . So I'm trying that now I'm on day 2 of taking vitamin -c . I took a test n I'm not pregnant . Do you think it's because I switched brands at the wrong time. I've never experienced this before so I'm freaking out . ## Hello, Garcia! How are you? First, that is just a myth about vitamin C, it will not actually bring on your period. As to the oral contraceptives, yes. It is most likely due to your switching, especially if the hormone levels in the new one are different than those in t...

My period has been really heavy and I have had bad cramps for three days. I wanted to know is this normal and also am I going to have another period when I get to the brown pills in a week because I really don't need two periods back to back . Help please ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Breakthrough bleeding can occur for the first 3 months, since your body needs to adjust to the hormones in this. Other side effects may include nausea, headache and irritability. If you're concerned, please contact your doctor. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Okay, so I take Lo loestrin fe (sp) I've been on it for three months. Hi, i was wondering do you suppose to take the last 4 brown pills or skip them and start the next pack with the white pills.. no other concerns with this birthcontrol been on this for a 2 years. ## I never take the brown pills. They're just sugar pills. I wait until Sunday to start the new pack. I've been taking this birth control for two years. It doesn't hurt you if you don't take them. ## That is correct, there is no harm in skipping the placebo pills, as long as you remember to start the new pack on the appropriate day. They are really just put in there as reminder pills to keep women in the habit of taking them daily. Are there any other questions or comments? ## This will be my first time using this pill. I just got my period Monday, yesterday. When should I start ...

hi there do u have to always take this pill for life and if u stop will u put back on the weight and also can u take it with taking birthcontrol pills ## From the limited information I can find, there is a product on the market that is called Banital, it is actually just an herbal supplement that is claimed to aid in weight loss, however, as such, it is actually not proven to do so. And, based on that, I can't really provide you with any other information on it. As to taking it with birth control, I'd suggest checking with your doctor or pharmacist, before using it, because there are some other substances that can cause them to be less effective. Does anyone have more information on this?

I am 26 years old and I've never taken birth control. My husband and I have always used condoms. I was prescribed this birthcontrol but am worried due to the lack of reviews. I am hoping someone has had some sort of experience they can share. I'm hoping this brand of birth control doesn't cause too many problems and scare me away from birth control all together. Any info/experience would be greatly appreciated! #supportyourlocalgirlclub ## I wouldn't recommend this birth control. I was on the former version of Minastrin for years but was just forced to switch to Mibelas since it is cheaper for my insurance. The switch was terrible. I'm having symptoms I never had before like depression and acne. I'd stay away. ## According to FDA reports, oral contraceptives can ...

How long do the withdrawls from methypredinson 4 mg packs and valtex 1000 mg withdrawls last after finishing the treatment? I took this for 7 days due to a bells palsy attack , I take birthcontrol and now I have terrible breakthrough bleeding , exhaustion, body aches, sweating ,appetite out of control, and diaharea !, I have been off the steroid and valtex for three days now! Help please! ## Hello, Cajun! How are you doing? Has there been any improvement, yet? It may take a week, or so for things to settle down and for these effects to go away, though the breakthrough bleeding may take a bit longer. That's likely due to the Methylprednisolone, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience insomnia and acne.

I've been on Tri-Sprintec for 6month's , I decided to skip my period So i went right into the new package, I ended up getting my period anyways i've been bleeding for 11 day's now. Is this normal with this birthcontrol? ## Yes, it can happen. They are hormonal based, so you don't always get what you want, when you try to skip your menstrual cycle. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. Is there are times you do want to skip or adjust your cycle, then you may want to talk to your doctor about trying a different one. I had my implanon removed 3 weeks ago on Wednesday. During the year my implanon was in I didn't get my period at all. I was experiencing a lot of emotional problems while on the implanon. Doctor said it was putting too many hormones in my body. So the day I got it removed I started taking birthcontrol. (Keeping in mind haven't had my period in over a year) my doctor said I could take it the same day but to stay protected for 2 weeks. Later that night my bf actually came inside of me just as a habbit of the implanon. I continued to take the pills everyday kind of around the same time but am experiencing a lot of tenderness in my breast I have 1 week of my pack left. Just wondering if I am even protected at all. Please help me. ## Have you talked to your doctor and/or done a pregn...

I started loestrin 24 on the 5th day of my period and would like to know how long until it is effective. The nurse practitioner said one full packet of pills but that conflicts with almost everything else Ive heard or read. Any advice/opinions/info appreciated. ## Loestrin 24 (active ingredients Ethinyl Estradiol + Norethindrone Acetate) is different with everyone. Some cases are 14 days and other cases are one month. With most birthcontrols it is recomended to use other forms of birthcontrol during the first month (ie condoms). In my opinion I would still use protection while taking Loestrin 24 for at least a month, better safe than sorry. Do you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I would be happy to help. ## i have been on loestrin 24 fe for now alomost 2 months...

I have started using oralcon contraceptive pill, I wanna know how they work ## HI, Tshepo! How are you? Oralcon is a hormonal based contraceptive, so they work by adding certain amounts of synthetic estrogen and progesterone to your body to prevent ovulation from occurring each month. That's why you have to take one each day, for 3 weeks until your menstruation week, if you don't, then the drop in hormones may allow ovulation to happen which makes it possible for you to get pregnant.
