I had a problem with opiates for 6 years. My drug of choice was Roxy 30s, and occasional OC 80 (when Roxy wasn't available). I am now 2 years clean and I am on Suboxone 8mg 4x per day. After a year of taking this, I started feeling very tired. I went for a sleep study and they prescribed Nuivigil 250mg twice a day, over the FDA's guidelines. After 6 months my moods were out of whack. I had symptoms of BiPolar, so my doctor gave me 50 mg of Pristiq. I noticed some change but after a month I was back to the mood swings. My doctor had me see an Endocrinologist. This doctor ordered blood work and noticed my testosterone was very low and prescribed a Testosterone shot every week to get my levels back up. The tiredness went away but my mood swings still were a problem. I found out tha...

I have bipolar and was on 5mg of olanzapine and 20mg of seroxat. I was quite well for 8 or 9 years. I asked my doctor if I could come off the meds, and she took me off the olanzapine in December 2012. I had an awful relapse about 6 months later, ended up in hospital, lost my job and caused awful hardship for my family. I have asked my doctors and pharmacist if stopping the olanzapine caused the relapse and they all said no, as after stopping the olanzapine symptoms would occur within a week or so. I can accept this. However, I also asked if I had carried on taking it could I have prevented the relapse. Again, they all said no - that because relapse occurred about 6 months after I came off it, that there was no link between the two. Again I asked a few times if I had continued taking the...

My doctor put me on Invega, along with 3 other anti-depressants, 5 years ago. Invega is classified as an anti-psychotic only it had no side effects--no sedation at all was the most prominent. Now the Invega is responsible for raising my cholesterol to 318 so I have to go off it. I was on 6 mgs. and he lowered it to 3 for one week. I was fine--as if nothing changed. After going off of it, I was a mess. I was sweating, I couldn't sleep, I felt like something was crawling on my skin and I couldn't sit still. Without his knowledge I went back on the full dose because I am in a wedding of a family member in 11 days. Then I was thinking. The symptoms I was having when I went totally off of it were WITHDRAWAL symptoms, not due to the lack of the medication otherwise. The psychiatrist w...

severe bipolar disorder 11 yrs. diagnosed, one of many meds. at 80mg. hard to adjust with symptoms like a bad hangover. not that i drink anymore but dont have high hopes for this drug at 20 60 or 80mg because of reactions ## Being removed from risperdal and put on geodan. For first few days mild headaches. Tolerating stress better. Bipolar ## Typically, side effects tend to reach their peak around 4 to 5 weeks of taking a medication at one steady dosage, then they taper off in severity, until they disappear entirely, so if you just started it, then it is far too soon to judge how well it is, or isn't going to work for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Geodon as possibly including nausea, headache, anxiety, weight gain, cough, and runny nose. Ref: Geodon Information How ...

I have been going through my medication and I am concerned about citalophram and it is a antidepressant should I quite taking it? ## Did you mean Abilify? It is most commonly used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Depending on the condition being treated, it is sometimes used with other mental health medications. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes, mood changes, and restlessness. Has your doctor advised you to stop your other medications? I just started depacote for bipolar 2. I'm also taking suboxone 16mg and have been for 2 months. The first week I was taking 500 mg depacote and just started on 1000. I'm experiencing severe diareah and gas like never before. I'm also plagued with kidney stones and these are symptoms I've experienced with stones, just not as bad. Just curious if anyone has experienced symptoms like these soon after starting or upping their dose of depacote. Should I take my dose tonight or wait and see what's up?! This is horrible! ## Hello, Timmy! How are you? Those can be normal side effects of Depakote, especially with a rapid dose increase, such as the jump from 500mgs to 1,000mgs. However, it's usually transient and only continues for a short period of time. You may also exp...

Hi, My girlfriend suffers from bipolar, and she has been taking depakote for about 2 months now, and it has worked more than wonders, problem is is that she ran out, and the treatment center that perscribed it wont refill it because she is no longer a patient. Her bipolar symptoms are getting really bad and she needs her meds. She has an appointment with a pshyc that she has never seen before, but the appointment is not for another month and a half..... How can she get a perscription refilled before that, and if she cant, what do we do? ## use inhousepharmacy.vu. It will save you the trouble of having to argue with your doctor.

I have Bipolar, PTSD, Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia. I'm on 20mg and two months in. Since taking it I have gone to parties, socialized, smile more often, no more insomnia, clearer thinking, more motivation, optimistic/planning for the future, and best of all completely calm! No panic attacks in months vs as many as 4/day (on average 4/week). No manic symptoms, no side effects. I had a few gastro symptoms at first but they went away. I noticed a significant improvement each time I raised my dose. It took about 6 weeks to notice a major change in my anxiety, but now I feel normal. Way better than even benzos in my case, and I can think on this drug. I have been taking antidepressants since 1991 and this one is by far the best for me. It's worth a try, but like any drug it's not f...

Zepam is diazepam and is manufactured in Phonm Penh cambodia. It is perfectly legitimate. Hope this sets your mind at rest so to speak. I use it to control my sleep patterns when I feel the symptoms of hyomania (I have bipolar disorder). I have never experienced any side effects and at $1.00 for 40 5xmg tablets it is a superb treatment. Hope this helps. ## The NIH does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and headache. Are you on any other medications?

Hi, my sister has recently been diagnosed with bipolar, this was very unexpected since she has never seen a phycologist. She made an appointment with a psychiatrist and after two visits she was diagnosed with bipolar and urbanol was prescribed to her. Tonight she has been out drinking, came home & took 8 urbanol tablets. I want to know what the symptoms of urbanol overdose with alcohol are? And is there a possibility that she could have been wrongly diagnosed with bipolar? ## Why did she take 8 of them? That's very risky, especially combined with alcohol. It can cause depression of the central nervous system, so she could experience shallow breathing, dizziness, drowsiness, and it could actually result in coma, which may be fatal, according to NIH reports. How is she doing, now?...

I have generalized anxiety, adhd, bipolar type 1 and antisocial personality disorder. Long story short, after many years and various types of treatments, things got worse, so I have been off medications for nearly 2 years and regularly have marijuana to keep me sane as it is the only thing that makes me feel normal or relieves most of my symptoms. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I am being made to take Zoloft now. I am on week 1, but I have been consuming marijuana regularly on top of it. I just wanna know, does it stop Zoloft from working properly or am I fine? ## @Trump. I am not an expert on Mary Jane. I have most of your the psych. diagnosis. you have listed. And is it safe to drive on it? I am very worried about taking this drug. ## Is Gabapentin addictable? Also, I cannot afford to gain any weight. Am on a lot of meds already. ## i want to know if gabapentin can be given for bipolar disorder also I have anxiety and ocd just it says that it can be given for mania and anxiety and depression which are the symptoms of bipolar. I also have a personality disorder. ## Yes, gabapentin can be addictive physically when taken regularly for a period of time depending on the person. Some people may have symptoms and others little or no symptoms when discontinued. I am on 600mg 3*daily and if I miss a dose I feel it. My body will remind me within a few hours of missing a dose. I have been on gabapentin for about a year and a half. Good luck, and driving...

I got a small white round pill blank on one side and on the other is a upside down v and 010 20 write on it ## Hello, Roxie! How are you? This is a 20mg Abilify tablet, it is an antipsychotic medication that's most commonly used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, somnolence and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have bipolar disorder, and I was wondering whether Abilify and Aricept could be used together for problems with cognition: Memory, executive mental functions, etc. ## Only your doctor can decide what is appropriate for you to use. No one here can possibly guess as this site is not medical professionals and have no knowledge of your medical history. ## I have Parkinsons and am taking sinemet. I also have major anxiety/depression as a side of the Parkinsons. Prozac & klonipan helped for a long time but then stopped effective. Abilify brought great relief from the anx/dep but aggrivated the Parkinson's symptoms to the exteent that I might have to stop taking it. I am horrified as Abilify made such a difference in my life. My pdoc prescribed 5 mg of ability twice a day, but when I mentioned an antidepressant he said that would not be a good idea....now he feels I have bipolar disorder but aren't individuals with bipolar normally on an antidepressant along with mood stabilizers or antipsychotics? I'm just confused......any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks ## In my honest opinion, a good doctor won't prescribe anyone more medications than they have to. Reason being (from my perspective) is that prescription drugs in general are only made to cover up (treat) the symptoms and emotions associated with the condition. But they do not help the patient fix the underlying cause of the condition. I'm stating this based on personal experience with severe depression for over 2 years, and cover...

please let me know what this pill is. I found it in my 15 yr son's drawer, I specified arrow, but it is more like a arrow tip. ## Hi Lynn, Did you mean to type QT 200 as the imprint? If so, I've identified a white round pill with that imprint as Co-Quetiapine (200 mg) from Canada. Based on my research, Quetiapine is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder. It belongs to a class of medications known as antipsychotics and works by affecting the actions of certain chemicals in the brain known as neurotransmitters. It is sometimes used off-label, often as an augmentation agent, to treat conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism, al...

I was on Belviq fir approx 3 weeks. I felt as though I was having bipolar episodes. Manic phases. On Thanksgiving day I decided enough! I stopped the belviq. I had been on Zoloft for 2-3 years & weaned off to take belviq. My doctor was very against me starting belviq but I badgered him until he agreed to let me try it. I regret it. Since coming off belviq & recently starting the Zoloft again, I now have constant anxiety with depression. I'm hoping Zoloft will start helping soon, it's only been 1 week back on. I've lost 5lbs exercising with beach body products & eating healthier. I will never try a weight loss pill again. My life is a mess right now. ## Hello, Abby! How are you feeling?
