Need to know If I can order this online in Mexico and be shipped to US ## Hello, Jim! How are you? I'm sure there are ways you could, but it isn't legal to do so, since all of these ingredients require a prescription in the U.S. The Betamethasone is a steroid class medication that carries the risk of causing some dangerous side effects, such as fluid retention, elevated heart rate and elevated blood pressure, so the U.S. doesn't allow most of them to be used, without a physician's supervision. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## You can get Quadriderm on amazon. I use to live in Mexico and we use to call it the triple treat cream lol. ## Just go to a Mexican flea market is all ## I have really bad dark spots in my face. Is the cream or can available in Mexico?

Hello, I want to know whether either combination of betamethasone (0.5mg) with clotrimazole (10mg) & gentamicin (1mg) in cream form is approved by the US FDA or not? ## No, due to the risks associated with this combination, with can include various adverse reactions, the U.S. FDA has not issues approval for such a combination, though there is a possibility that this may change at any time. Has it been prescribed for you? Where do you live? ## Nope...I thought of launching this product. I do live in Bangladesh & serving in a pharmaceutical company. Does this cream contain alcohol? I would like to know if this cream contains alcohol. ## Hi Maria, In order to determine the list of inactive ingredients one would need to know who the manufacturer is or at least have a product on hand to check the label. Generic Betametasona + Clotrimazol + Gentamicina cream may contain any set of fillers if there's no way to identify who makes it or what the actual packaging has on it. However I do see that one company by the name of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals does use a combination of "benzyl alcohol + cetyl alcohol + stearyl alcohol" in their particular Clotrimazole + Betamethasone dipropionate cream [minus the Gentamicina]. So I think it would be normal to assume that they use alcohol in similar products, but you should probably contact t...

Could you please let us know how and where we can obtain a couple of tubes of Betametasona Clotrimazol Gentamicina ASAP!!! I don't know where it is available to buy, but we would greatly appreciate any details. Thank you sooooo much, Cindy ## Hi Cindy, The medication which you are referring to contains Betamethasone + Clotrimazole + Gentamicin. This specific combination of active ingredients is not sold as-is in the United States, which is probably why the label is in Spanish. I think you have a couple of options. (1) See if you can get a doctor's prescription and have a local pharmacy compound it for you (2) If you travel to Mexico you should be able to bring the product back through customs provided it is for personal use You might also find a related discussion thread to be h...

I used this cream for an allergic reaction to an antibiotic a few months ago at the suggestion of a pharmacist. (I livein Mexico). Now I have an allergic reaction to Ibuprofen that looks the same - red blotches on my face and chest. Will it work for this, too? ## Hi Lilly, Based on my research, Clotrimazole/betamethasone cream can be used to relieve redness, itching, and swelling due to infection. It is a combination of an anti fungal and corticosteroid- which can help to reduce inflammation and help prevent the release of symptom-causing chemicals due to an allergic reaction. Antibiotics are very strong in relation to Ibuprofen, therefore, if this cream worked for a reaction you had to an antibiotic I imagine that it could also help you with the allergic reaction that Ibuprofen caused....

Is this cream good for ingrow hair ## Hello, Carlos! How are you? Did your doctor prescribe it for you? It is listed by the FDA as containing Betamethasone, Clotrimazole and Gentamicin, so it can be used to treat such conditions, but only if deemed appropriate by your doctor. If used improperly, the steroid in it, Betamethasone, could actually worsen some skin conditions. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including redness, skin irritation, rash, dryness and acne.

Information on Barmicil compuesto creme ## Sorry, I cannot find any drug listing under this name. ## This is a medication from Mexico which is used to treat a variety of skin conditions. It contains Betamethasone + Clotrimazole + Gentamicin. ## it's similar to LOTRISONE available in the US by prescription. Betamethasone (a steroid, like hydrocrotisone) is only available by prescription in the US. That's why you won't find it over-the-counter in the US. The BARMICIL Compuesto (Compound) preparation is made by Laboratorios Quimica Son's in Puebla, Mexico. It's is VERY inexpensive ($3-5 for 30g) in most Mexican farmacias. i need to take flagyl but only have quadriderm nf cream. will this work or are they not used for the same infections? ## i dont know ask your gyno? ## No, they are two very different medications. Quadriderm NF contains Betamethasone, Clotrimazole and Gentamicin, while Flagyl just contains Metronidazole, so they are used differently to treat different things. Learn more Flagyl details here. If you need Flagyl, then that is what you should take as substituting with the other may not be safe, especially since it contains a steroid. Are there any other questions?

Can someone please tell me where and how to get this cream in the US? I can't get to Mexico. ## Your local swap meet or any Mexican stores (not like north gate or anything like that ) ## @Shari, From what I've read, two of Gelmicin's ingredients (Betamethasone + Gentamicin) appear to be available by prescription-only here in the US. Clotrimazole is also reportedly available OTC or via prescription depending on the dosage. Having said that, I think your best bet may be to make an appointment with a doctor and have he/she write you a script. You could then take that Rx to a (compounding) pharmacy to see if they'll be able to formulate something similar to Gelmicin per your doctor's request. I know this sounds like a hassle but it's still probably more feasible than...

Gentamicin, an antibiotic for treating and/or preventing bacterial infections. Are you able to translate the instructions on the packaging?
