Generic Betametasona + Clotrimazol + Gentamicina cream may contain any set of fillers if there's no way to identify who makes it or what the actual packaging has on it. However I do see that one company by the name of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals does use a combination of "benzyl alcohol + cetyl alcohol + stearyl alcohol" in their particular Clotrimazole + Betamethasone dipropionate cream [minus the Gentamicina]. And more importantly, is it safe? ## @ERQ, The combination of Betametasona [1] + Clotrimazol [2] + Gentamicina [3] is marketed towards treating various skin conditions such as pain, inflammation, itching, bacterial/fungal infections, etc. From what I've seen mentioned in another thread here, this cream is allegedly available with your doctor's prescription here in the US. However further reports suggest that it costs only a fraction of the price down in Mexico for the same ointment (i.e. $30 in the US and less than $2 in Mexico). I previously developed cellulitis, which started on my leg, I ended up going to my doctor and he prescribed antibiotics and an ointment and it did go away. That was three years ago. Recently I began feeling that same itch on my leg and figured it was coming back, and sure enough the rash is starting to develop. The Betamethasone is a potent steroid, so there can be some risks associated with using it, such as CHF. I suffer from psoriasis and a friend picked up a couple of tubes for $2 each in Mexico its better that gold to me.At first it took it all away now it just helps keep it under control.Love this stuff and I have had no side effects that i've noticed. ## That's great you were able to find something that worked so well for your psoriasis! I cut my nose with my nail and I decided to put A & D on it. I spread it around my nostril and within two days it blistered the area and now I have redness and what looks like an infection. A doctor in mexico prescribed this for a rash i had on the back of my hand. I used the cream for a month till i could not see the rash anymore. Once i stopped using it, the rash tried to come back. Fortunately the rash slowly went away on its own after about 6 months. It's summer time now and appears the rash has completely went away. And no, you shouldn't use it on your face, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so, because there are some conditions that it may worsen. I'm sorry, but this medication is not available in the U.S. The FDA is generally not happy with these types of combinations. Have you spoken to your doctor? My guess would be that your psoriasis might be responding to the Betamethasone, which the FDA classifies as a steroid and it is available here, but only by prescription. Its typical side effects may possibly include skin irritation, redness, rash and itching.

I've used betametasona clotrimazol gentamicina ( Gelmicin Brand) For years specifically for itching in my crevices due to being overweight. Now a few years later I've have very thin skin in those crevices and I didn't realize that this cream had steroids! Should I assume this is what caused the thinning of my skin? Totally transparent in those areas specifically underneath my breasts. ## It is possible, though there's no way to say with certainty, but Betamethasone has been known to cause skin issues as side effects, including acne, and there are known to worsen with long-term use. Other side effects can include redness, and flaking. Are you on any other medications? Do you use any other creams, or ointments regularly?

It is a combination of an anti fungal and corticosteroid- which can help to reduce inflammation and help prevent the release of symptom-causing chemicals due to an allergic reaction. Antibiotics are very strong in relation to Ibuprofen, therefore, if this cream worked for a reaction you had to an antibiotic I imagine that it could also help you with the allergic reaction that Ibuprofen caused....

I was prescribed Aceler-co cream with a 0.1% betametasona, and another internal medicine, but noticed they substituted with Loratadina, betametasona 0.25%. I understand you cannot overtake betametasona, which is in both. I will start 1 capsule every twelve hours and Acelerco Cream daily? Is this too much?
