Does contact dermatitis ever go away completely. I have used the .05 percent cream. It subsided while I was using it but came right back even after a refill tube. Is the next step to use the .12 percent cream ## Hi, Linda! Sorry about the problem that you're having. I get it too, so I know it can be quite annoying. Contact dermatitis is actually caused by an allergic reaction to something, so they only way to get it to go away permanently would be to discover what substance or substances are causing the allergic reaction and avoid them in the future. Have you visited an allergist/immunologist? They can usually test you for various substances that you may commonly be exposed to in order to figure out what the triggers may be.

Friend gave it to me to use for my son's poison ivy does it work? ## Betamethasone dipropionate cream is a topical corticosteroid that is commonly used for treating allergic reactions to poison ivy and other similar plants. It works by depressing the formation, release, and activity of different cells and chemicals that cause swelling, redness, and itching. I suppose it might work differently for everyone, but in the event that it doesn't work as well as intended, you may want to consider some natural options. I ended up finding several types of natural poison ivy treatments on Google, if you're open to any suggestions?

I have acne on the back of my neck. My age is 71 years. I have tried antibiotics with no success. I am desperate. Info I got says it is incurable. Please help. ## Hello, Leon! How are you? Actually, since this cream contains a steroid, it can cause acne as a side effect, so it isn't likely to help, according to the NIH. Acne is always curable, so to speak, depending on the underlying cause. If you deal with whatever is causing it, the acne will go away. Are you on any medications? Did your doctor give you any idea of what's causing the acne?

Does this cream contain alcohol? I would like to know if this cream contains alcohol. ## Hi Maria, In order to determine the list of inactive ingredients one would need to know who the manufacturer is or at least have a product on hand to check the label. Generic Betametasona + Clotrimazol + Gentamicina cream may contain any set of fillers if there's no way to identify who makes it or what the actual packaging has on it. However I do see that one company by the name of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals does use a combination of "benzyl alcohol + cetyl alcohol + stearyl alcohol" in their particular Clotrimazole + Betamethasone dipropionate cream [minus the Gentamicina]. So I think it would be normal to assume that they use alcohol in similar products, but you should probably contact t...

Need to know If I can order this online in Mexico and be shipped to US ## Hello, Jim! How are you? I'm sure there are ways you could, but it isn't legal to do so, since all of these ingredients require a prescription in the U.S. The Betamethasone is a steroid class medication that carries the risk of causing some dangerous side effects, such as fluid retention, elevated heart rate and elevated blood pressure, so the U.S. doesn't allow most of them to be used, without a physician's supervision. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## You can get Quadriderm on amazon. This cream combines an antifungal medication (Clotrimazole) with a steroid, (Betamethasone), so there is a risk of it making some issues worse. The FDA also warns that it may cause side effects, such as skin redness, irritation, itching, and flaking. And you should not use anything inside your vagina that has not been specially formulated for such use. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? What would happen if candid b cream is accidentally ingested? ## Candid B is a local "skin application" that consists of Clotrimazole and betamethasone; it is effective for localized fungal infections such as Ring worm. I don't think ingesting the cream is a very good idea to say the least and may even cause more harm than good since it is not an oral medication. Keep in mind that Candid B is not effective in widespread fungal infections. For wide spread fungal infections one would need to take "oral" anti-fungal treatments. In addition, it is not very effective in fungal infection of the nails. As far as side effects go, Clotrimazole and Betamethasone can cause skin irritation. Some people can get allergic reactions but it is quite rare. Mild burning sensation, redn...
