Name a Beta Blocker that is the closest one to Levatol 20mg. Have taken Levatol for 12 yrs and it seems to be off the market, am worried about side effects since have such good luck with levatol ( no side effects and would like the closest one to it. have considered olive leaf extract ( I can regulate it ) ## I'd suggest asking your doctor about trying Labetalol, it is known to cause far fewer side effects than most others available. I was taken off Inderal because of my COPD, but recently my doctor said to take it again. I'm having reactions that may or may not be due to this med. Does anyone have answers please, concerning the combination of Beta blockers and COPD? ## Do you have any idea why the doctor told you to start taking the same medication, again? If you have high blood pressure, or some other cardiac condition, there are many other medications you can try. And yes, the FDA does warn that beta blockers, including Inderal, may cause problems for people that have COPD. I've been taking Metoprol for about 4 months now to help prevent A-Fib episodes, but since I've been taking it, first I had a location on my back that would itch, and now most days I have a dull ache, or tired feeling between my shoulder blades, it comes and goes. I have taken elequis for over 2 years now. I have Afib. This month my Dr added another drug - a ppi to my prescription to combat any future stomach problems caused by elequis! I take beta blockers too! I have so many side effects from elequis - tiredness, aching joints - knees, toes and shoulder joints. Difficulty sleeping due to shoulder and knee pain. How do I get off this drug - or at least reduce it from 5mg x 2 a day to 2.5 mg. x 2 a day? Been taking Concor 5mg, 2.5mg am and 2.5 mg pm for 6 months. The first 5 months Concor kept me from having breakthrough atrial fib episodes.
