Best Time To Take Lisinopril

I take lisinopril once a day at 9am. By mistake, I took it last night at about 1 am. Should I miss taking it for the rest of the day? ## What dosage do you take? I have been taking Lisinopril /HCTZ 20-25mg. I,m out. I do have a bottle of Lisinopril 2.5 mg that was filled incorrectly, but I still have them. my blood pressure is high 155/96, and I have a terrible headache. is it ok to take the Lisinopril 2.5mg ## It is a much lower dosage, so it may not work as well as the one you are currently prescribed. My doctor gave me a month to get my blood pressure down - it was 150/95. I tried my best - eliminated salt, exercised like crazy - it was still high when I went back to him so he gave me this med. I felt nothing for the first week or so on it now I'm getting insane nausea. I can't eat. I lost 4 lbs last week. Food just makes me more sick. Been taking 10-12 mg.Lisinopril/Hydro for 2 yrs. My mom just passed away with ARDS and I believe it was caused by her taking Lisinopril. It just scared me so much, that I told my doctor I didn't want to take it anymore. I am also on 25 mg. Metoprolol. My doctor told me to just stop it and visit him in two weeks. You are not supposed to eat foods with lots of potassium while taking lisinopril, but how long can you safely wait AFTER taking the pill to safely eat high-potassium foods? I take metoprolol at the same time, and it must be taken with food. ## There is no safe time frame that can be quoted to you.
