Hi everyone. I'm just wondering which medication most of you consider to be the best sleep aid? Of course I've heard of the ever popular Ambien, Lunesta, etc. There are also over the counter products such as Tylenol PM and Advil PM which combine Diphenhydramine with Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen respectively. Lastly, there are certain natural treatments to help one sleep such as Melatonin. I'm looking for a consensus as to which one you think would be the most effective with the least side effects. Any thoughts appreciated!

It is used for the short term treatment of insomnia. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, odd taste in mouth, and hallucinations. Liza, it would be best to consult his doctor to discover the root of the problem. How old is he? Is he on any medications? Does he have any diagnosed medical disorders?

I am addicted to restyl since last 10 years. I take 10mg every night. Now its not affecting...i dont get sleep with it. I have developed insomia so I started on zolfresh 10mg. I get sleep with zolfresh but my body needs restyl also or i get palpitations and vomiting sensation. Can i take both together? ## What is the name of a best quick action sleeping tablet? ## Hello, Rony! How are you? It isn't really a good idea to take them both, due to the fact that they can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which may include lowered heart, low blood pressure and breathing problems, as listed by the U.S. The Restyl carries the risk of being habit forming, so you may need to get your doctors help to stop taking it. A slow taper is usually best. Thappa, I am sorry, but I am n...

what is the best medicine for weight gain?for 18 and 40 yr old..and also a sleeping pill with no side effects?..tnx ## Sorry, this site is not medical professionals, so this site does not prescribe, nor tell anyone, what drugs they should take. You need to consult a doctor for those answers. As to 'no side effects', I am afraid there AREN'T ANY! Whether you take a prescription medication, or something available over the counter, they ALL HAVE SIDE EFFECTS of some sort, that is the nature of putting foreign chemicals into the human body.

I am on 2mg TID and usually take Teva Pharm but that suddenly changed , know I could have it specially ordered but wanted to know if anyone else has had any experience with this generic and how it efficacy contends with other types of gerwic Clonazepam or Klonopin? ## I took it for awhile, due to anxiety over having heart failure, and it was Qualitest, and it worked great for me. I didn't even usually take the full dose, unless I was having serious trouble sleeping, I mostly took just a quarter of the tablet, or half. I was prescribed the 0.5mg tablets. But that is just me, the only way to see if it will work for you is by trying it. NDC code: 00603-2950 The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit formin...

Does it make a difference if you take 15 mg of Mobic in the am or pm? It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take meloxicam at the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take meloxicam exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Shake the suspension well before each use to mix the medication evenly. I was taking viibryd at night, but I couldn't sleep. Started taking it in the morning a few days ago. I'm sleeping fine, but today I fell asleep in the afternoon and couldn't wake up. My psych doc thinks it's helping me. I think he's right, but what can I do? The insomnia had some scary effects on my mental health, but how can I enjoy my life if I can't stay awake? ## How long have you been taking it? Typically the side effects wear off, once your body gets used to the medication, but that can take about 6 to 8 weeks. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, and diarrhea. Ref: Viibryd ## I take it at night. Is this a blue football Xanax? Generic for the .1mg xanax? Its got L441 on one side and a line in the middle for the other side. ## If that was a question I can tell you in fact this isn't Xanax. It is best not to take pills when you don't know what they are. Thank you ## Eddy is right, a blue tablet with L441 is actually Doxylamine 25mg which is an over the counter sleeping pill. I verified it on the NIH pillbox site.

I have poorly controled diabetes with a sleeping disorder and I take two 50mg of amitriptyline. What can I do to help with my heart beating at an alarming rate of 130 to 138 beats per minute Without lowering my intake of the amitriptyline, for it is helpping with my sleeping disorder (because sleeping pills dont work alone) and with my neuropathy pain (nerve damage) in my feet, legs and hands. ## Amitriptyline can increase your blood sugar. Please get it under control. It will slow the heart rate, make you feel better and have less nerve pain. Diabetes and Amitriptyline are not the best of friends. Uncontrolled blood sugar levels and the meds can be very dangerous and on occasion fatal. Please Please Please get control of the diabetes. Trust me its worth it. ## And you should see a doct...

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me. ## Taking the Oxycodone pills with the Suboxone will do you no good, it contains a substance that neutralizes opiates to prevent their abuse during treatment, that is why it throws you into withdrawals. Suboxone should really not be used without a doctor's supervision, as the dosage and us...

For the past few months I've been taking CBD a few hours before bed and its been helping my insomnia significantly. They work really nicely for helping me fall asleep and stay asleep. In addition to helping with my sleep, its helped me with my anxiety. One of the best things I noticed about CBD compared to traditional sleeping meds is that I wake up not feeling groggy or drowsy. If you want to get off those strong and addictive sleeping pills I recommended trying CBD oil.

Is Larpose-1 a sleeping pill and is it effective? ## which is the best and safest sleeping pill is it larpoze compose or restyl ## Actually, neither one of the medications mentioned is a straight sleeping pill. Restyl contains the active ingredient Alprazolam. Learn more Restyl details here. And Larpose contains the active ingredient Lorazepam. Learn more Larpose details here. Both of which are Benzodiazepines that are most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders, though they may cause drowsiness as a side effect and are sometimes used if a person suffers from insomnia that has been resistant to other medications. I had a cold but now I have lingering chest congestion that builds up in lumps in my throat (thick slimy) and gags, choke, and make me feel like its drowning me when I am sleeping - I have to jump up out of bed and cough ad spit it out. This is different from regular cold and congestion which was usually watery. I have 8 Sulfamethoxazole =TMP DS pills and was wondering if it could help loosen the congestion? ## No, that medication is an antibiotic that is used to treat, or prevent bacterial infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. It would be best to consult your doctor, so they can provide an appropriate solution. Has this ever happened, before? Are you on any medications?

I am 56 yrs old and have been taking Angeliq for 8 yrs for menopause. I'd like to stop taking the pill because I have been cursed with multiple yeast infections this year. If I stop taking Angeliq will the infections subside? Also I have trouble sleeping? Do I need to taper the pills? I'm worried that it will effect my sleep that I need so desperately due to anxiety issues that I have been fighting for years. Anyone have trouble with either one of these issues? ## Hello, Donna! How are you? The most important first step is to have this checked out by your doctor. There is a chance the infections have been due to the Angeliq, but there is also a chance they are unrelated. And a slow taper is best, suddenly stopping it may cause withdrawal effects, which as listed by the FDA, may ...
