NAPROXIN OR IBUPROFEN, WHICH IS BETTER ## Hi IETTY, Depending on the dose, both of these medications could effectively handle the pain associated with a toothache. Some people however prefer Naproxen over Ibuprofen because of certain side effects and that it may be easier on their stomach. Others find a few hundred mgs of Ibuprofen to be more than sufficient for a toothache. There are just many different reasons for choosing one over the other... One patient review I found stated that 400mgs of Ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours was sufficient enough to take care of their toothache; although I haven't come across any specific details on Naproxen's equivalent dose for this same treatment. I was wondering if any of you have tried Cbd oil for chronic pain and if so, did it help and at what dose? And how are you using it? ## Best pain reliever ever. Which dosage of Vicodin is the most effective or strongest? My family physician put me on 5/500, but my surgeon has put me on 7.5/325. Is one supposed to do more then the other one? ## Hi marie, Vicodin 5/500 contains (5 mg) of Hydrocodone and (500 mg) of Acetaminophen; Vicodin 7.5/325 contains (7 mg) of Hydrocodone and (325 mg) of Acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is the narcotic pain reliever and is much stronger than Acetaminophen-which is included to increase the effects of the narcotic. That being said, I believe that the surgeon gave you a somewhat stronger dose since 7.5/325 contains (2.5 mg) more of the narcotic than 5/500. Medication effects each individual differently however. What is the very best laxative I can use when taking narcotic pain relievers? Please be detailed. ## I get horrible constipation, when I take them and the only thing I've found that really helps is a fiber supplement. There are many available over the counter, but that might be right for you. It really depends on your overall health, and any other medications you might be taking. What, if any, is an alternative med to replace tussigon/hydrocodone! Because the FED'S have restricted the dispencing, I can't an alternative... My new PM doc pushed methadone 10mg x 3 daily on me after being on oxy 20 mgms 2 yrs for back issues. Im having problems, every bone in my body is killing me!! its terrible, the only relief i get is taking the percocet for break thru pain. I have an appt tomorrow again. Also, i now have extremely high blood pressure, could this be causing it?. He pushes ONLY methadone, i cant understand why... he swears its the best pain reliever around yet, im not doing too great on it. any ideas why?
