I have so much pain in my feet, , wrist and knee & legs. Im on Trama-dol hcl 50 mg and Morton. Also prednisone 10 mgs What other meds help with this problem ? ## Hi Binny, What type of pain are you dealing with exactly? Just general pain, or pain from arthritis? If you're able to give me more detail, I can definitely do some research and look at the other options you have. Until then, I would like to recommend acupuncture and essential oils. There are studies that can prove the accuracy of both those methods for pain. I've personally had acupuncture performed on a painful nerve in my foot and it helped tremendously. Essential oils are also beneficial in conjunction with massage therapy. I'll post a link to a page that provides information about certain oils used for pain...

Friend told me of a pill she heard of for arthritis with the #14 in the name, any ideas, thanks ## No, with a number in the name like that, I would have to assume that it is something that is available over the counter and I have not heard of anything. Just having the number 14 in the name isn't really a lot to go on. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## WHAT ARE THE BEST ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES FOR ARTHRITIS WITH LESS SIDE EFFECTS? ## Dear Sir/Mam, I am a 55 year old female who has had hypertension for a while now and has been on Vinco/D5 for sometime now. I've been having pains in my knee joint for some years now, which is now serious, cos I have only used Analgesics alone for the pain. Please, could you recommend a medication that wouldn't interact with the blood pressure drug...

I have had moderate to severe back pain for several years now, and have been prescribed meloxicam, vicodin, zanaflex, flexoril, and percocet, just to nam a few. i ignored the pain for several years, but it got to the point where i had to get it checked out. after getting an mri, they discovered several problems with my lower back. degenerative bone disease, slipped discs, arthritis, etc. Most of this is due to the nature of my work, and a couple of motorcycle wrecks. Here is my main question and problem. Out of all of the things that I have been given, I find that oxycodone works the best for me personally, without making me drowsy, or having any other adverse side affects. My doctor was giving me 90 extra strength vicodin per month, with another 90 percocets to use during the extra bad...

Hi ~ Just got the rheumatoid arthritis tap on the shoulder today. Rinvoq seems to be advertised a lot but I’d sure like to hear from folks who actually are using it. Has it been effective for you? What kind of side effects are you noticing? Anybody? ## I have RA and since there’s no cure for it, I can’t take these types of drugs including the DMARDS they have horrific side effects. But I take pain medication as needed. I don’t know of others who take this but I’ll find out. Best of luck. ## Thank you Bella ~ I am going to have to look up what DMARDS are! The ‘language’ of RA I will have to learn. I am liking your approach, of taking as little as possible of the least damaging, side effect laden medication. I’m 67 and take no meds at all at...

I have been to several doctors about my knees,I can barely walk at times and its so hard for me to stand at work..ive inquired about the cortisone shots but no one wants to help, all they give is pills that don't help much at all!! Ugh I just want the pain to stop ## Hello, Tonya! How are you? Have you tried seeing a pain management specialist, or a rheumatologist? One of these specialists would likely be your best bet for getting the help you need. Many pain management specialists actually prefer someone try the other options first, before resorting to other options. What is your general location? This information might enable someone to recommend a good doctor in your area. Do you have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone?

As a brief background - I have very advanced Degenerative Disc Disease, along with bad arthritis/spurs/nerve damage - all in my neck. 5 of the 7 discs are in terrible shape - I've been told by several doctors that it is very advanced for my age (34). I've been through a great deal of pain management including massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractors, injections and procedures on my neck. Not a whole lot has helped and I'm trying to avoid surgery. For approximately 12 months the pain was managed by my pain management doctor on short acting oxycodone (30mg 3 times per day). Wasn't the best schedule, especially long term, to manage the pain. So I made the decision to get off that dose schedule by switching to suboxone. Exactly 1 month ago I switched to suboxone, tak...

i have arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I take either Norco or Percacet. Both make me very itchy. Can I safely take them with Benadryl? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? It would be best to check with your doctor first, to make sure it is safe you, because Benadryl can increase the absorption of most opiates, which may be too much for some people. The FDA also warns that opiates carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The itching from opiate pain meds is not an allergic reaction and benedryl will not help relieve the itchy sensation. Typical one become itchy when the body has absorbed too much of the drug so you may be on to high of a dose since it is a negative...

It's a round lavender pill with no imprint on the pill itself. ## Sorry, I can't find anything under that name in prescription databases or otherwise. If there are no imprints on the pill, then it is not a prescription drug from the US, of any kind. All prescriptions sold legally in the US must have, by law, a unique imprint for ID purposes. And I am afraid that since I can't find that name listed anywhere, I am unable to tell you anything about this, sorry. ## Without Rumoquin NF I literally could not get out of bed and walk in the morning for almost an hour. I lived in Mexico for 8 years and suffer with arthritis in all the joints of both legs and my right hand. This is not a pain killer. It is the best anti-inflamatory I have ever used. When I returned to live in the US I...

Doctor gave me every pres. med there is, even shots. nothing works. He gave me a prescription for 5/325 Norco and it helped a little. won,t give me anymore. I live in northwest in. Is there any Help out there from someone.? TY ## Hello, grandma! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about what you're dealing with. At this point, I think your best bet would be to consult a different doctor, perhaps a pain management specialist, they are usually more knowledgeable about what will help with pain, and aren't as reticent about prescribing medications to help. Norco contains the active ingredients Hydrocodone and Acetam...

I have a torn Labium in my hip, chronic arthritis in my right knee, plus back pain. I'm having surgery soon for my hip (thank goodness). I've been on oxy for 3 years 10/325 and it's not helping any more. Not sure what to do. ## Hello, Rose! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The best thing to do would be to inform the prescribing doctor that it is no longer helping your pain. It is normal to develop a tolerance to a medication that you've taken for a long-period of time and for it to stop working as well, when that happens. It might be time to move on to a different medication to handle your pain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

I have had two cervical fusions, five levels of herniated lumbar disk, stenosis, bone spurs and arthritis. I have been taking Oxycodone 15mg 3 X daily for one year. I have noticed less pain relief for shorter periods lately. I see a pan management MD once a month. I don't want to come across as asking for stronger drugs. I would like to know what the next step is when Oxycodone is not effective any longer? Also, how is the best way to talk to my doctor about this? I have had steroid shots and neurotomies performed with little success. I am still keeping up my Grandchildren every day and have no problems with addiction. I have noticed my pain has slowed me down though and I'm just tired of hurting all the time. Any info will be very appreciated. Thank you! ## Its is tolerance and...

I have been on norco 7.5 for two years now. I have severe arthritis in both knees. I take one right before I go to work. I stock shelves at night, at a supermarket. It helps me get through my shift. My doctor retired; and now I have a new doctor. He has me on 50 mg on Tramadol. It's not the same. I'm in more pain now, then I was before. The drug isn't working the same. I have not abused hydrocodone. What do I need to do to convince my new doctor, that Norco is working, and I'm not abusing the pain medication? Any new ideas? please help. ## Hi John, I always say honesty is the best approach and speak from the heart, but whether or not the doctor accepts your message as truth is something that's out of everyone else's control and therefore I don't think it'...
