Best Meds For Panic

In the past three days my 70 year old mother has showed mildly increasing signs of paranoia. This was only after having her Risperdal medication reduced three weeks ago per FDA law for nursing home patients. How is this FDA law in her best interest? ## I've never heard of such a law, normally the FDA does not mess with what the doctor's decide is the best dosing and treatment. I find myself having to ask, have they shown you proof of this being a law? I can't see as how this would be in any patients best interest, whatsoever, especially not at her age. ## my son was given 1125mg of diwa every day and he developed hissing sounds in is ears the doctor reduced the dose 750mg a day and soltus 200mg a day will this again triger ocm and panic attacks

Does anyone know of a doctor who will prescribe xanax in Orlando FL. I have terrible anxiety and awful panic attacks. please help. ## Write to:xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy} ## Personally, I think if you suffer from anxiety/depression and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being, is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression, as opposed to covering up the feelings and emotions with medication; unless you decide that you're ok with only treating the symptoms for as long as they persist... I'm stating this based on personal experience with severe depress...

I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks. this has been going on since i was 8 years old. I have been on variouse meds, almost all benzodiazapines and i find that xanax works best for me. ## Any licensed Medical doctor can prescribe Xanax. There are some States that do not allow the M.D to prescribe this medication and will refer you to a Psychiatrist. First off, I took the prescribed dose and it literally did nothing. I do suffer from muscle spasms and it didn't even help that. But the crazy thing is I'm on Valium and was asking my doctor to switch back to xanax since I was previously on that and the Valium just isn't working anymore. He then writes me for Zanaflex instead! I need a new doctor in the Phoenix area... I can't deal with this constant trial and error of meds paying out of pocket for crap medications when I know what works best for me. I've been dealing with this for over 10 years. I'm also on suboxone for pain management so it's hard to even find a dr who will write a benzo with that... but I suffer debilitating panic attacks and I have a 6 month old baby. As a GAD and panic disorder with agoraphobia sufferer for over 10 years, I am no stranger to meds. I have been on Pristiq, however, for about 3 years, and have finally decided it`s time for a change. This medication really did nothing to help me with my illness`, but due to the horrifying withdraw process (which you can start to feel if you miss a dose by ever a few hours), I`ve stuck with it. My doc has decided to put me on prozac to help with the withdraw symptoms of pristiq. Has anyone tried this with any success? I have been put on CymGen 30 but reading what some experts say Zoloft might be better. I also take Xanor 0.5mg and Atavan SL 1mg when I get panicky. Do you think I am on the right meds. ## What you really have to discuss with your doctor is what is the right medication for you. What the experts say is better for certain people and for certain conditions, may not be what's right and best for everyone. How is the CymGen working for you so far?

I have been on benzoate for 15 years and the 3 mg xanax er was working great until the generic was changed on me by the pharmacy. I have been asked to try 1 mg ativan twice daily and my anxiety and panic kicks in that if I say these work and then they don't I won't be able to function. Are these the same and if not how do I get my dr to keep me on the best meds for me and my chemistry. Is there a way to find a generic specific, where the fillers do not affect the half life of my meds? Also I never sleep and I know this just adds to the anxiety then the panic. Any advice? I am getting knee replacement and I don't want morphine because I throw up and bad headache and hallucinate. Vicodin does the same. Is there something I can take that won't harm me? I have high blood pressure, IBS, panic attacks, and depression. I take meds for these. I can't take tramadol because it interacts with Xanax. I am very scared. I am on epilim cr 500mg bd. Concerta 54 mg daily and serdep 100 mg nocte. I have severe anxiety and panick attacks. I drink xanor SR 0.5 mg prn, but more daily or twice a day. I still have severe panick attacks and anxiety. Can it be the other medication causing it ## Peanut, ABSOLUTELY concerta can definitely cause anxiety your best bet speak to your doctor and see what he suggests that combination of meds MAY cause anxiety and symptoms of a panic disorder to worsen.
