What kind of cold medicine is okay to take with the blood pressure medicine losartan? ## @Sunshine, For liability reasons, I think it's generally best to discuss this with your prescribing doctor or pharmacist. However you can always look up potential drug interactions via the University of Maryland Medical Center at: umm.edu/health/medical/drug-interaction-tool That webpage allows you to plug in specific drug names for an evaluation of their combined pharmacology and what/if any risk factors (or side effects) may be expected in certain scenarios. Sorry I couldn't give you more specific details, but if you have a medication in mind you can simply plug it into that drug interaction tool... Nevertheless, I'd still encourage you to double check with your medical provider(s) jus...

Is it ok if I take Nyquil while I'm taking XL3 pills for a cold ## Hello, SallyAnn! How are you? No, it would be best not to double up, because they both contain Acetaminophen and taking too much of it in a day can result in overdose toxicity, which has the potential to be fatal. They both also contain decongestants and cough suppressants, so there is no need for both of them. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

It's very sore. I juse broke out and have blisters. I'm not taking anything yet but do have some lidocaine ointment ## Hello, Nik! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the cold sores, I know that they can be very painful, as well as embarrassing. There are several products available over the counter that can help alleviate the discomfort, including Carmex and Blistex. I'd not suggest using the Lidocaine, unless it is specifically approved to be used on the facial/oral area. Abreva is another over the counter product that can sometimes help shorten the duration of a cold sore. The NIH and FDA list cold compresses, or ice as possibly helping to relieve the discomfort, they also suggest using Orajel, Anbesol, Tylenol or Advil to help with the pain. Of course, please follow ...

Tried it all with my 35 year drug habit.Suffered a lot only to benefit drug companies greed.Im on my fourth day of recovery using cold turkey method and i feel more freedom now than i did after months of champix, nasel inhalers, gum and e cigs. There's two reasons for this.. 1 Because i no longer have nicotine in my body 2 Because i re educated myself from non profit making sources that told me the truth about nicotine. Knowledge is the key! Don't take nrt. The only conceivable reason to give an addict the substance he is addicted to would be to keep him hooked whether it be gum patches e ciggie or any type of nicotine. Would you give an alcoholic alcohol to help him recover?? Addicts make for very reliable consumers. Its almost like drug dealers competing for a junkies trade. So lon

I've taken paracetamol & Leon but my fever is still not going away and neither is the cold. ## A cold is caused by a virus, so an antibiotic will not help with that. use, useage, frequency ## Have a cold and need relief. ## Hi Lenbeil, Based on my research, Benical is a European cold medicine and decongestant made by Bayer. The main ingredients are Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Chlorpheniramine, and/or Pseudoephedrine. I had to use google translate because most of the information regarding this medication is in Turkish- From what I can gather, there are 20 (500 mg) pills in one Benical blister pack. The maximum dosage for adults and teens is 1 tablet 3 times a day. Drink 1 glass of water with the medication- DO NOT consume alcohol. To add: since this medication requires a prescription it would be best to speak with your doctor about the correct dosage. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Chlorpheniramine + Dextromet...

I am taking antenolo for blood pressure. Lately my blood pressure has been below 100. It was at 85. I have also been cold. I stop taking the antenolo and blood pressure went up to 132/75 and my pulse was 98. Should I stop taking the antenolo. I believe I am taking it to lower my blood pressure. Thanks ## Those can be normal side effects of this medication, according to the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, and increased urination. Rather than stopping it, however, it would be best to speak to your doctor about perhaps adjusting your dosage, or trying a different medication. Is this the only medication you are taking?

I have been on norco 10-325 for 5 years and take 2 to 5 per day. What would be a good schedule to us to taper off and quit using it. I have heard that cold turkey may not be the best way to do it. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? Cold turkey could result in your experiencing withdrawal symptoms, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fever, chills, depression, anxiety and rebound pain, so yes, a slow taper is best. There's no specific taper schedule that always works for everyone, however, in most cases, the preferred method is to have someone starting spacing their doses farther apart, while gradually taking less and less, usually a change is made every week or two. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you set up an appropriate an...

I am on suboxone and I am sick. Can I take cold multi-symptom with acetaminophen / phenylephrine HCI / Dextromethorphan HBr? Just want to know if it is safe to take together? Can not find anything on this on the internet. ## Hello, Rayrad! How are you? I didn't find any interactions listed between them in the databases, but it's always best to double check this information to be sure. The cold remedy, as listed by the FDA, may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and headache. What did you decide to do? It would be best to consult your doctor, but stopping such a medication abruptly isn't actually considered dangerous. I've been on 20 mg for 7 months, working awesome but now I feel it's time to get off it. My choice would be to stop it cold turkey. Had anyone else done this yet, and how hard/easy was it? ## That's usually not a good idea after taking it for months, because according to the U.S. FDA, it could cause you to experience withdrawal effects, which may include nausea, diarrhea, headache, rebound depression, pain, and anxiety. A slow taper would be the best choice. Why do you want to stop it, if it is working so well for you? ## Hi, I just didn't want to be on pills anymore. Is it OK to take cefalixin cefalin for a cough with stiky plegm ang yellowish color.? ## This is an antibiotic and will only help with bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Not all yellowish phlegm is indicative on an infection, so it would be best to have a doctor evaluate your issues. It could just be your body fighting off a cold, or allergic stimuli. Can anyone tell me how to get off of Keppra? I am only on 250mg 2x daily and I want off. ## Your best bet is to talk to your doctor so you can stop under medical supervision. ## I agree, I stopped cold turkey after only two days and thought my topamax would be enough I paid the price and was lucky to be alive.... ## I started off at 500 mg 2 times a day, then down to 500 mg a day, and now down to 250 mg..I seem to have some panic atacks.
