First day (morning) after taking Viibryd. Took my first 10 mg last night before bed. Slept ok. No weird nightmares. Regular 6/7 hours of sleep. But I do take Ambien. Did not take with food and was OK. Woke up with tummy hurting and had to go to the bathroom twice. (they're right on that part). But... best of all- I def. feel so much happier after just one dose. Not sure yet how it will work on my panic attacks/anxiety but so far I am hopeful. After trying just about all the other SSRI's that always did not work for one reason or another... I am hoping this one just keeps getting better. Worked fast. I usually wake up very lack luster. Today... I woke up happy. Big difference!!! And that was just the first dose. I will check back after a week to update. I was def nervous taking t...

I need to know what pills these are called? They are for panic attacks and are very small white and round. I'm not sure of the # on them. It could be 700n or 200n or noon. Can you please help me? ## Hello Theresa, I'm going to do my best to help you. Going based off of the imprint guesses in addition to the condition of it being a panic attack medication the closest I was able to find was a Metoprolol succinate extended-release which has the imprint of 100 N. According to the National Institute of Health it is small, white and round. Metoprolol is used in the treatment of atrial fibrillation; high blood pressure; supraventricular tachycardia; angina; heart attack. The NIH also reports cases in which Metoprolol has been used to treat anxiety and panic attacks. Unfortunately witho...

I live in Wilmington NC. I am moving shortly to TN. My anxiety and stress is causing me to shut down. I need to pack and move and am having problems with all of it. I need a doctor to prescribe me some xanaz for the attacks so I can get going. ## I am on the same boat as you, I have been battling anxiety and panic attacks since I was about 14, so almost 10 years! Sometimes I think it would be best to just give up and die but I know its not the correct answer. It has been almost a month since my last panic attack and I used to have them almost every day! There are a few exercises you can research and use to help control the panic and anxiety, they have helped out tremendously for me. They do not cure you by any means but it does help. :) hope I was helpful and remember that you are not a...

I am having terrible panic attacks that last for hrs. at a time. I wake up in the morning with attacks that go on all through the day and night. I'm not depressed anymore like I used to be. Not crying any more unless the attacks do wear me down and I'll cry cause they won't stop. I am taking Prozac 40 mg. I feel it is helping me but, the panic is still there. I'm beside myself, and I try to watch TV but, sometimes it gets the best of me. I have to take my ipod and go out walking all around the complex where I live and I walk & try to do my breathing exercises. It goes on so long I get really tired of trying to do the breathing exercises. I'm 63 years old, and I've been home now 5years on disability. I've been sick with panic disorder all that time. Have been on Xanax for yrs and cannot find anymore since I moved from SC to FL....pls help!!!! I have panic attacks....can't just go off this medication cold turkey?!?! ## If you suffer from anxiety and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems as well as having a better understanding of how to cope with situations in the event that you don't have your medication on hand. Many general physicians are also reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. i stay home panic like im affried of thighs and bad anixity eats at me cant eat ## Hi Shane, Sorry to hear about your challenges with anxiety. Do you know whether or not any of your anxiety-based fears stemmed from recent or past childhood experiences? If so, I'm thinking it may be best to see a psychiatrist who can further help you uncover the underlying cause(s) behind these irrational thoughts and behaviors. From my understanding, overcoming anxiety or panic attacks is really just mind over matter; convincing yourself that nothing really is the way it seems at any given moment and it's all just in how you "choose" to look at it. I think the more often you can even begin to start taking back control over your thoughts and emotions, the easier it'll be for you to ta...

After being on every imaginable antidepressant over the past twenty-five years and undergoing ect, I have found that Ritalin has worked the best for me. I have been taking it for about two years now and wonder why I had to suffer for so many years prior. But that is history and I don't dwell on it. I look forward to tomorrow now. ## Really helps with my depression as well as my ADD. I believe the ADD contributed to the depression because it causes me to be less productive which causes stress. ## Greetings KM. . My doc just rx'd Ritalin for depression and memory issues or severe decline only 52, plus add, panic attacks, and anxiety. Think that covers it all lol. I have been on this drug for the past 3 years myself. I have been on Xanax, Lorazepam, Paxil, and this drug Clonazepam has been the best thus far... sure it may be addictive and you may feel that you need to run to your bottle and pop a pill every time you have an attack or when you have weened yourself off it for quite some time and suddenly an attack occurs. I felt like a junkie taking so many different drugs trying to control my panic attacks... but I have learned that first, I need this drug to help control the attack and to help regulate my heart rate as well as my blood pressure. Second, I need to find ways that will help me relax myself during an attack with different techniques such as breathing, walking, thinking happy thoughts... Lastly, seeking psychiatric help, I was ashamed...

I have very bad anxeity and panic attacks. i am currently on suboxone and want to ask my doc for a xanex scrip. benzos are really the only thing that help me.. I just am worried that my doc would not want to give me benzos for obvious reasons.. ## Your best bet, actually, is to see a general practitioner, or a mental health specialist. It is unlikely that a doctor who specializes in treating with Suboxone is going to be willing to prescribe anything else. Have you considered consulting a different doctor for this?

I am having panic attacks at night and have been prescribed nexito plus for a month. Will there be side effects later on. I am very much apprehensive to start it. ## Hi If you not yet strated taking nexito please dont start ! Im using this for past 3 months and im not able to stop it ! So better dont strt! ## This medication does carry the risk of being habit forming, according to the U.S. FDA, so it is best to taper off of it, rather than stopping abruptly. The other typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, mood swings, and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks. this has been going on since i was 8 years old. I have been on variouse meds, almost all benzodiazapines and i find that xanax works best for me. ## Any licensed Medical doctor can prescribe Xanax. There are some States that do not allow the M.D to prescribe this medication and will refer you to a Psychiatrist. However your medical records should help you when you find your new doc! ## I had westnill a couple years ago and it messed up my nervis system and I have anxiety so bad but the dr won't help me xanax works the best

First off, I took the prescribed dose and it literally did nothing. I do suffer from muscle spasms and it didn't even help that. I was prescribed 120 oxy 30s and 120 2 mg xanax as well as some other medication but non narcotic and I broke my neck in 3 places and also have suffered from severe panic attacks and anxiety. My doctor had his license suspended for supposedly touching a female in a unprofessional manner and I was needing a doctor who really will help me in the same way and not just treat me like a drug seeker. I also live in south Carolina so as close as possible would be great thanks. ## Hello, Adam! How are you? My Dr. has had me on alprazalom 4 1mg. tablets for the last 10 years for panic attacks and anxiety is this really a high dosage and how hard is it going to be to get off of it. I had to have someone call 911 for it because when I called to get it refilled he was't in the office and the drugstore would not refill it and I went 7 days without it and it was really bad. ## If you've been taking it for that long, then a sudden withdrawal may be dangerous, there is a chance that it could cause you to suffer seizures. Thus, it's always best to stop Benzodiazepines such as this on a slow taper schedule. Learn more Alprazolam details here. And yes, that's a fairly high dosage, but not an extreme one. Do you still get same amount of alprazolam?Which one is best for anxiety or panic attacks? ## They are both effective, the only difference is that the XR is a time released tablet, so the medication is released slowly into the body for a certain period of time and with the regular release, it is all released into your body at once. Has one of these been prescribed for you? ## Yes I was prescribed the alprazolam 2mg xr.I'd rather have the 2mg without any time release.

I had panic attacks a while back and was put on xanax for them. Now they started again and I want to go back to get something for them. My question is how do I tell the Dr. I want klonopin instead of xanax? The xanax put me to sleep where the others don't. ## Hello, Whisper! How are you? The best thing to do is not to ask for a specific medication, just inform your doctor of the problem you had with the Xanax and let them suggest an alternative. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
