Liquid penicillin - The date on it is 04-2015. My throat is almost swollen shut. Can I give my self a shot of this? My insurance is not effective until april. I also have runny nose, fever etc. ## Hello, Rhonda! How are you? I'm sorry that you're sick. But no, you should not use any expired liquid medications, they tend to go bad faster than other formulations and not only do they lose effectiveness, but they could actually make you ill if you used them. The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. It would be best to see your doctor or go to your nearest urgent care. Is there anything else I can help with?

I think I have strep throut - my daughter has it and now I am feeling sick - I have left over Touro LA Caplet Sa Dar and I have left over Hydromet - from the last time I was sick - can I take either of these? My daughter was given amoxilinine - I am uninsured so would prefer not having to pay for more drugs ## Strep throat is caused by a bacterial infection, so it usually requires an antibiotic, and neither of the medications you mentioned contain antibiotics, thus it would be best to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis, and treatment, if necessary. Have you experienced any other symptoms, such as pain when swallowing, swollen lymph nodes, fever, and body aches? Antibiotics may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, nonallergic skin rash, diarrhea, and dizziness.

My daughter has been diagnosed with typhoid and the doctor prescribed zifi cv 200 tablet twice a day. She has a throat infection along with a high fever of 105 deg. fahrenheit. She has been taking the drug since the last 48 hours and has developed diarrhea. Since I cannot get in touch with the attending doctor I'm intimated to continue the normal course of the antibiotics and am also concerned about the side effects if any. ## Diarrhea can be a normal side effect of an antibiotic, according to the U.S. FDA. She may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and non-allergic skin rash. You are doing the right thing, it is best to continue the course of treatment, unless her doctor instructs otherwise. Is there anything else I can help with?
