Are there any side effects? I have foot neuropathy, but not diabetes, and have developed a rash on my legs. ## Hello Village65, My research tells me that rashes are indeed, one of the side effects of Alpha Lipoic acid. In regards to Benfotiamine- I couldn't find any information stating rashes as a side effect. With that being said, you could possibly be having a reaction to just the Alpha Lipoic acid. Have you spoken with your doctor about this yet? Please post back if you have any more questions!

I get stomach cramps, being an old patient of Cardia Achalasia. But now there is no constriction in food pipe or any ulcers. I am on Pantaprazole and other anti acid drugs. I have this going on plus Gurd. Has anyone been approved for laser surgery for the bone spurs. Meds help but have reduced my quality of life. I've been looking at Benfotiamine to see if it helps. I found out about Lyrica after 6 months of the soles of my feet felt like thick Elephant pads and painfull.The sharp needles and pins prickling night and day.The bottom of my feet and toes burned to the point of turning red. I found one thing that would help some.Sitting with your feet up and a wet wash cloth draped over the feet and havin a ceiling fan blowing on them.
