I have been diagnosed with bell's palsy. I took 60 mg of Prednisone daily for 5 days. I still have dizziness so bad I can hardly walk. How long does this dizziness last? This is the fourth week that I have been sick. Disgusted with myself. ## Please tell me about how long this dizziness lasts? With bell's palsy? ## Hello, Jean! How are you? Why are you disgusted with yourself? It's not like this is a condition you could have prevented. As to the dizziness, if you are still having it, then you need to see your doctor, again. How long ago where you diagnosed with it? Most people do recover and many have great improvement as early as 10 days after the onset.

Recently I had an absess, went on antibiotics and got the tooth removed. At the same time my left hand side of my face pulled down somewhat - my lips at the side, my eyelid, hard to talk or smile, face distorted. My doctor says it might be Bells Palsy. Does this normally happen with an absess or maybe they are not related? Is Bells Palsy temporary? My Doctor prescribed the Deltacortil Ent 5mg starting with 8 for the first 4 days then reducing after that. Can you advise on any of this, Thanks ## You can learn more about Bell's Palsy here: It's basically when something causes paralysis of some of the facial nerves and yes, it can sometimes be caused from a bad infection that spreads. The swelling that can occur can cause compression of the facial nerves. Usually corticosteroids, s...

How long do the withdrawls from methypredinson 4 mg packs and valtex 1000 mg withdrawls last after finishing the treatment? I took this for 7 days due to a bells palsy attack , I take birthcontrol and now I have terrible breakthrough bleeding , exhaustion, body aches, sweating ,appetite out of control, and diaharea !, I have been off the steroid and valtex for three days now! Help please! ## Hello, Cajun! How are you doing? Has there been any improvement, yet? It may take a week, or so for things to settle down and for these effects to go away, though the breakthrough bleeding may take a bit longer. That's likely due to the Methylprednisolone, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience insomnia and acne.

IF ANYONE HAS SUFFERED A NERVE PALSY OF ANY KIND AROUND THE TIME YOU WERE TAKING LYRICA; IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO CONTACT ME {edited for privacy}. I think everyone should get as close to accurate representation of my experience. Nothing over exaggerated, although the options for symptoms above was difficult to be accurate with (such as I am not sure "Shoulder-hand syndrome" fully qualifies as a symptom, but there are close associations). I COULD NOT MOVE MY FINGERS OR CONTROL MY WRIST for about 8 months, and STILL SUFFER ongoing weakness. About 2 months before I started regaining mobility a doctor displayed some research citing the use of LYRICA HAS RESULTED IN A VARIETY OF NERVE PALSIES, including Peroneal, Bell, Cranial, RADIAL, etc... Hello, Three years ago I suffered from Bell's Palsy on the left side of my face. Actually at that time I also suffered from an emotional setback. I recovered from the Bell's Palsy but since then I have felt pain on the left side of my face. After that the pain has spread to my whole body. I feel a burning sensation, pain in my nerves and some times vibrations in my nerves. I think I'm suffering from neuralgia. Now for 2 months I have started having feeling tightness in my arm and leg, mostly on the left side but sometimes on the right side too. I underwent an MRI of the spinal cord. In the report, there was a mild diffuse disc bulge with Osteophytes seen at the C5-6 and C6-7 levels causing mild thermal sac and spinal cord indentation with mild narrowing of bilateral neural f...

While traveling on a small aircraft I developed a sudden swelling on my face. It was diagnosed as Bell's Palsy. Any information on this ailment? ## Bell's Palsy is a form of facial paralysis, not swelling. What doctor provided you with this diagnosis? Have you had a stroke, Lymes disease or other severe illness recently? A sudden swelling, such as you've described, would be more indicative of an allergy.

Am suffering from Bell’s Palsy and neurologist suggested me to intake Omnacortil 60mg for initial days and now it has come down to 10mg a day. My upper half of the body is filled with red spots like pimples and it pains a lot .Is this the side effect of Omnacortil .If yes then in how much time it will be recovered and is there some precautions that is should take to reduce this effect ## Hi, Chirag! My step mother started taking ibilex for an infection, 2 days later one side of her face became numb and slack, it looked liked she'd had a stroke. We took her to the hospital and they took her off ibilex and gave her steroids instead. She still has slight numbness and slackness to half her face a week later... do you know if this will go away in time? She's quite self conscious of it and convinced it's permanent. :( ## Hello, Karen! How are you? Did they provide her with any specific diagnosis? It sounds like she may have developed Bell's Palsy, if that is the case, the NIH states that most cases clear up within 1 to 2 months, odds are improved if a steroid is given within the first 3 days of it occurring. Though most people do recover without needing any treatment, at ...

I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy and was given Prednisone to reduce inflammation. I was on 120 mg for 3 days. Then 80 mg for 3 days. Then 40 mg for 3 days. Then 20 mg for 3 days. Then I was done. I have been off for a week now and within that week I have developed severe acne on my chest, back, neck, face, etc. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I have read acne can be a side effect, but most things I have read have came from people who were on Prednisone for years or months. ## These steroid class medications tend to linger and continue to have effects in your body, for awhile, after you finish your course of treatment. Have you talked to your doctor about it? This should clear up, on its own, in a few days. ## I've been using prednisone and I've got a problem...
