I have fluid on my ears, sinus congestion and headache for which my DR prescribed Z-pack and this Mehylprednisolone pack on yesterday. I got the meds from pharmacy and read instructions yesterday. Woke up this morning thinking I knew how to take the medication - all six pills before breakfast. Without double checking, I took all six pills before breakfast! For some reason I just had it in my head that line one was before breakfast and line two before lunch...etc... My question is how long do I have to wait to eat breakfast after I take the medicine? ## You probably don't need to wait long to eat breakfast after taking your first dose. Maybe 15-30 minutes tops if you're concerned about absorption (as the medication has a peak concentration about 2 hours after ingesting it). My concern is after walking for 40 minutes and a moderate breakfast veg, my pp is always high 157 - 200. Where am I going wrong? What kind of food is recommended to eat when taking this drug so I wont feel nauseous before breakfast? ## Usually, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, it should be taken with a meal to help prevent that nausea, as in while you are eating. There are no specific foods listed, just that it should be taken with a meal, which usually means during a meal. Just prescribed Linzess for pain med related constipation, to be taken every day in place of my previous regimen. Reading the other postings, I am somewhat afraid to take it. Nevertheless, I would take my levothyrox 1/2 hour before the Linzess, then would take my other meds with a meal. Will the Linzess "wash out" the other meds?? I am 62 been a diabetic for 7 years. Taking Gemer 1 before breakfast and glycomet 250 in the night after dinner. Now doctor has prescribed Glycomet GP2 morning and Glycomet 500 for night. I am unclear as to how to take this medication. My doctor just told me to take in the a.m. I have been told to take it before meals and others say after meals. I am unable to reach my physician at this time. ## In our facility we administer the med at 9am; once we are sure that breakfast is available and is eaten. I. Have been taking chantix for 12 days, and I can not tell I'm taking anything and I have no change in my smoking, why is that. Also I can not eat breakfast but. I do eat dinner. I can not tell any difference if I take it without eating in the AM or when I do eat in the PM, I have not had any side effects so far.
