I am currently taking Sintrom because of a blood clot and my question is related to drinking alcohol especially now with so many Xmas events coming up: How much is ok to drink in one night? I am not a regular drinker but I do like to have a few when I am out which is maybe 1-2 times/week. I have spoken to so many doctors about this and it is very confusing. I just went to see a supposely high leve expert on DVT in the UK and he told me I could drink no problem as long as I didnt fall over and hit my head or vomit but most of the doctors I have previously consulted, mainly in Spain, have told me not to drink more than 1-2 beers!!! I am a 64 year old male living in Spain & have been taking Sintrom on its own for about a week. I was previously taking 150mg of Heparin by injection daily + varing amounts of Sintrom.
