Who is the best pain management doctor in the Beaumont area? We just moved from Austin, and after calling around, can't find a good one. For starters, they all tell you right off the bat they don't prescribe Oxycodone. What? Why reject a drug before you even know a patient's history or what kind of results they've had with it. Why does every pain doc in Beaumont have this asinine attitude, and what alternatives do they offer? (I am already on Fentanyl patches, with a spinal stimulator, and that does not control the pain). I'd prefer someone who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield. ## The reason you're getting that attitude is because when someone calls asking for a specific medication, doctors have been taught to view that as drug seeking behavior and they'll tell y...

CAme here from florida got pain killers for my leg need to find a doctor here who isnt paranoid of a dea shutdown ## Hi, Matt! How are you? Unfortunately, they all have to be paranoid about that. New regulations were put into effect this year and any doctor that doesn't abide by them risks losing his license to practice medicine. Your best bet would be to establish a relationship in your new location, with a PCP, then have them refer you to a pain management specialist. Do you have a PCP, yet? ## Matt, did you ever find one? I am in Beaumont, and I too need to find a doc not afraid of narcotics. Moved here from Austin, and have a hard time finding a good doctor of nearly any kind.

I just moved to Beaumont TX. Looking for a cash doctor for percocet / norco. I'm in real bad shape and don't know anyone to refer me to a cool doctor. ## I live in East Tx. and i just need to find a doctor with in a 100 or 150 miles of where i live if any one can help me? Thank you very much? ## I'm in East Texas as well. I had saw a pain management Dr in Tyler for awhile. I was ok, however insurance changed so I transferred care to a Dr in Dallas. I've actually saw 2 & am now going to the 2nd as he listens better, is thorough & very innovative. I saw Dr Z at Texas Pain Physicians... He has a somewhat dull personality, doesn't communicate well but does FANTASTIC inj's... He kept me on the same meds as my last dr (fentanyl patch & percocets, zanaflex)....
