I have been given this medicine 100 Mg tablet three times a day for hydrocele. How it works for hydrocele? I will be operated for hydrocele after 10 days. ## Banocide Forte contains the active ingredient Diethylcarbamazine, which is used to treat certain parasitic infections (i.e. filarial worms). I am 80yrs old. Have been prescribed Banocide Forte 100mg 3 times a day for increased swelling for old filariasis. Does the medication bring down the swelling in the left foot? How many days should I continue treatment? Does it produce any side effects? I am receiving treatment for lung congestion and wheezing . the doctor has given me a course of Methylprednisolone 4 Mg 2x Bd 5 days then tapering off. I have also been prescribed banocide for high esonephilis count 12 % . can I take both drugs together safely ?
