I had a mild heart atack and I was prescribed a cocktail of drugs, which made me feel like a zombie, I was extremely tired, feeling sick, couldn't barely walk: ticagrelor 90 mg., simvastatin 40 mg., amlodipine, ramipril 2.5 mg., eleprenone(Inspra) 25 mg. I discarded the amplodipine- why the dictors prescribed it together with the ramipril, if both do the same job and both have bad side effects? I also stopped the simvastatin- so far for a week and I feel better, but another doctor now replaced with with atorvastatin 20 mg. which I will have to start taking, but this one is also known for bad side effects and I was also prescribed a beta blocker- Egiloke 25 mg (Metrprolol tartrate) as replacement of the amplodimine. I am worried about the side effects: my colesterols levels and blood...

If people bring suits against bad drugs, why can we not bring a suite for turning a good drug that worked until they changed it to where it does not work half as well any longer and have alot of side effects. does this not make oxycontin a bad drug. this all happened due to people abusing it, ALL THOSE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DO IS FIND SOME OTHER DRUG TO ABUSE AND IN THE MEAN TIME MAKE HE NON-ABUSERS SUFFER FOR NO REASON. PLUS THEY WILL NOT EVEN GIVE OUT INFORMATION OF WHAT WE COULD CHANGE TO THAT WOULD TAKE THE PLACE OF THE OLD OXYCONTIN THAT WOULD WORK THE SAME. I AM A GRANDMOTHER OF 6, I USE TO BE AT LEAST ABLE TO PLAY WITH THEM FOR A WHILE AND KEEP MY HOUSE CLEAN, NOW I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN, I SIT IN A CHAIR ALL DAY. I CAN NOT EVEN BEND OVER TO CLEAN OUR BATH TUB. THIS IS VERY UNFAIR AND...

Is there any cold medicine I can take that won't have an adverse effecct while taking Zoloft. Couldn't take Nyquil. ## I have passed out two times taking Nyquil along with Zoloft......One time at the dinner table and another time at Walgreens and in my car......My cardiologist took me off Zoloft cold turkey.......I never knew I suffered from anxiety and depression and why my internal med doctor even put me on Zoloft......I passed out on this medicine even when I wasn't taking Nyquil......I have not passed out in over one year now since my cardiologist took me off Zoloft. ## Yes, unfortunately, some medication cause synergistic reactions between each other and aggravate the side effects. SSRI antidepressants are particularly bad for this. The main problem with cold medication...

I have frequest migraines that last several days. A nurse friend suggested I try Dilaudid. Is this something that is effective for migraines? And does it come in generic form? I have no insurance. Thank you. ## I have suffered from migraine's for over 30 years. Very,Very BAD ones. The only medicine that works for me is Fiorinal #3 ( pronounced : fear - in - nal # 3 - # 3 means with codeine ) as long as your not allergic to codeine. It's an old time remedy, but I've tried all the new stuff and nothing else works, This does. Try it and you will see for yourself. ## Oh forgot the Fiorinal # 3 does come in a generic, it's what I get. It REALLY will work. ## Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is a very potent narcotic and, it is often the first choice i...

my son is 11 yrs old started taken Nasonex when he was 9 yrs old and is now having eye probs!! not cool drugs should not be FDA aproved if they havenT BEEN STUDY long enough to really know if it cause other probs !! and now my son is a victum of this drug it needs to come off the market !! ## Nasonex, which is used to treat allergic rhinitis and other problems that cause nasal swelling, contains the active ingredient Mometasone, which is a steroid class medication. The only reported side effect that affects the eyes for people using this had been Conjunctivitis, also referred to as Pink Eye. Has his doctor definitively tied his vision problem to the use of the medication? Long-term use of some steroid class medications, has been linked to serious conditions of the eye, such as Glaucoma ...

At first i took 4mg, then about 45 mins. later i took another 4mgs. Starting to feel it, but seems weaker than US Clonazepam that you'd get at a Walgreens or CVS. Does anybody else have experience with these red Repam-2 tablets? Good or bad? Feedback is greatly appreciated. ## ya I had a bad experience in terms of what they actually charged me (not including shipping) and what they told me i'd pay... also i was shown a totally different photo of clonazapam and it was under the name Rivotril i think (which is 2 mg prob)? anyways i had never heard of Repam or Repam 2 for that matter... what I've noticed simply surfing the net is Repam maybe .5 mg pf clonazapam... super lame but makes sense huh? i spent 200$ for 30 .5 mg klonopins that don't even seem to be a 1/2 mg if i...

How safe are the following drugs if expired, and is their general efficacy compromised as well? Vistaril Xanax Flexiril Excedrin Migraine Tylenol with Codeine Ear drops ## Hello, Brad! How are you? In tablet form, none of the medications you've listed become dangerous, once expired, but yes, they do start to lose efficacy and you should dispose of them. The expired liquid ear drops, however, can go bad and could cause problems, if you used them, as listed by the FDA. Liquids are nowhere near as stable as other medication forms. Both Xanax and Codeine carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Which medications can definitely not be used after the expiry date? Thank yo...

What can happen if you take Seroquel and another prescription drug? Is it life treating? ## I have been taking seroquel for about 3 yrs now,I take other script meds with it,i have had no problems with anything i have took with it. ## It will actually depend on what other drugs you are taking, some drugs react badly and some don't. Your pharmacy usually checks this against your other prescriptions before filling your scrip for you. That is why you should never pharmacy hop, you should stick with the same pharmacy or pharmacy chain so everything you are taking is in the computer and they can check interactions of all of them. Also, if you post what else you are taking, I can run an interaction check for you and see if they are any adverse effects reported. ## Question to Verwon. Tegre...

Please help.. I have been on narcotics for chronic back pain for 19 years and just moved to VA. I need to find a good Dr. that is not afraid to continue with my meds. I take several different pain meds .Any help would be appreciated.. ## @"Comments Submitted"... Since you've written your question over three years ago, I'm not going to go into any of my history at this point. Where in VA are you located. I moved back here from MD in 2007 and had been seeing a PMDR in MD for over eight years. I did find one in VA last December, but had such a bad experience, by the grace of God I was able to get a PMDR close to home in the same office as my orthopedic surgeons. Just let me know if you've found one or not. ## I live in winston salem nc so if u live anywhere near Danvill...

I take 200 mg Lyrica twice a day for pain associated with Neurofibromatosis. Seems to help but my wife won't come near me. Says my breath is stinky. Not what a husband wants to hear. Have tried all types of oral solutions so problem doesn't seem to be in the mouth. Wonder if Lyrica is to blame since bad breath is a side effect. I'm considering going back to Gabapentin and putting up with the increased pain. Anybody have a similar problem or solution. ## I haven't heard of this before, but I can't say that I am surprised. Drugs can affect everyone differently. Rather than going back to a drug that makes you deal with more pain, you might want to talk to your doctor first, they may be able to help you find a different solution. ## Thanks for the quick reply. The doctor wants to change me to Diovan and Hydrochlorothiazide. I am currently on Lisinopril 40mg. I am afraid to change. I am allergic to sulfa drugs. I have had a cold/flu for about 2 months and he thinks Lisinopril may be causing the cough. (this is a new doctor to me). I have been on Lisinopril for 10 years and have had no problems. Not sure what to do. Also Diovan is a tier 4 drug. Lisinopril is a tier 1. ## Hydrochlorothiazide is a sulfonamide, but they don't always cause problems in people with sulfa allergies. Learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here. I've taken it without a problem, but had a very bad allergic reaction to the antibiotic Bactrim and am listed as being sulfa allergic. I recently took amoxillian for a sinus infection---this was not strong enough to cure. My doctore prescribe me Augmentin---within 20 minutes I was dizzy, weak & vomiting. This went on for 2 hours plus----until I passed out & no longer had anything left in my stomach. I have strained my neck, broke blood vessels in my eye and feel like I was ran over. Can you tell me if this product has any sulfur or condiene in it. I am highly allergic to both of these drugs. Thanks for any info you can give. SF ## Augmentin contains the active ingredients Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid. Not sure if there is sulfur in there, definitely no codeine though. ## stop taking that stuff! unless your sinus infection is worse than the side effects but, I'd say the side effects are much more worse than...

I have been taking 25 mg of Atenolol for some time. It seems that since the shortage during the winter, I have had a bad taste in my mouth for some time. I am wondering if anyone else has noted this. It is the only medication I take. One doctor did wonder if any non-active ingredients in the Atenolol now being shipped have changed to create this effect. Has anyone else noticed this? ## KC94, I did a little research and according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information orally administered Atenolol is known to have a bitter taste. Different companies try to mask this by decreasing the solubility of the drug or by removing the interaction of the drug with the taste buds but it will vary from brand to brand and batch to batch. Basically some companies will flavor their drugs or...

My husband of 36 years went to his doctor for relief from insomnia which he just started experiencing. He was given samples of Lunesta and on the 4th night of taking the 3mg tablet, he got out of the bed, got fully dressed and I found him on the driveway with a bullet hole in his head. This 58 year old grandfather, who loved his life, his family, his job and everyone he met was gone with no anticipation of what he did. Illegal drugs are no more deadly than this drug, why is Lunesta legal and pushed by doctors?
