2 Topics FoundI am curious if anyone else has had any of these side effects from taking bactrim. My mouth is so swollen with blisters all inside my mouth.....now it has started to affect my private area as well with same symptoms. I cant eat and it burns all day long. I only took 4 pills when this started. Please help if you can. ## Rhonda, I have exactly the same reaction to this drug. Started taking bactrim for a bladder infection and after the 3rd tablet i felt a little burning in the area around the vagina. I had sex and realized my area was very tender, burning and bleeding, that never happened before. I have a feeling of dehydration, fatigue and it was just weird. I continued taking the bactrim for 4 days and my vaginal soreness became an unbearable burning sensation when i pass my urine and itcy. I read up on the drug at this point and realize it has been the cause of my problems. I will be calling my doctor today as i am not taking anymore and i need medication to heal the vaginal blisters. I also remember a few years ago my mom took this same medication and was sore all over her body. She even refuses to see the same doctor ever again.
