I have BV and dont wanna go to doctors when I already know what it is. I have had it before. I am just wondering if Naproxen Sodium can be used to treat the BV. Since BV is not an infection and just an inflammation I figured maybe it could help. ## Hi Brittany, If BV is an inflammation and not an infection, I would definitely see that Naproxen would be a good choice over other types of prescription drugs. It happens to be one of the few drugs out there without a bad reputation. One article I've come across however, does regard BV to be a type of infection. "Bacterial vaginosis typically features a reduction in the number of the normal hydrogen peroxide-producing lactobacilli in the vagina. Simultaneously, there is an increase in concentration of other types of bacteria, especial...

I've taken Elmiron since 2012. Honestly, I found that I had bacterial infections that were not found by a normal lab. I used PathOGenius, in Lubbock TX. Molecular testing is the only way to identify these Biofilms. If you have a toe fungus, a sore, a upper respiratory infection that just wont go away, get in touch with PathOGenius or Granger Labs. My urine was sent to them and it took around 3 weeks to get all results back. Believe me, I am so much better! I was house bound before. ## I'm interested in your case. Can I use mupirocin and triamcinolone to effectively treat a bacterial skin infection ? ## What type of bacterial skin infection? Has it been confirmed by your doctor? Topical ointments are really only going to help with a topical infection, that would be one that's just on the very first layer of skin. Anything deeper than that is going to require a systemic antibiotic to eradicate, which means either taking it orally or by IV.

i was recently prescribed bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for an infected burn. on the second day, i woke up with a really sore throat. by night, i had a fever, and the next morning, i had a sinus infection--which i used to get chronically from about 11 years ago, up until 4 years ago, in which time ive only had one. a day later i had a productive cough, semi bad but nowhere near as bad as the bronchitus the sinus infections would, after months, eventually turn into. those infectionswere clearly bacterial as whenever I did end up taking antibiotics, they always ended within a few days. I tried to ride them through to defer antibiotic resistance and such, and i cant rememeber if i ever did, because they WOULDNT go away. regardless, i went back to the dr this time after gettin...

Her knee was replaced 10 years ago and all these years she was comfortably walking about. However 3 months ago she had eczema on her right leg and that spread up to her knee. Now the eczema on her leg is better but the bacterial infection has gone under the skin to her replaced knee (metal). She has temp 99 - 100 Is there any way to clear the knee of bacteria. She has been given intravenous antibiotics since last 9 weeks. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as the Doctors where she resides have given up on her; and as you will agree antibiotics for any length of time will have severe side effects ;

I have a bacterial pink eye infection. can i use this to get rid of it? if so what is the dosage? ## Hi melinda, Pota-Vi-Kin is a foreign brand name of Penicillin. I'm not sure what dosage of it you have there, but pink eye is almost always viral in origin; meaning that antibiotics won't have any effect on it anyways, since they are only good for bacterial infections and not viruses. (So only if you had a really rare pink eye from susceptible bacteria would this be effective). Have you tried any natural remedies or other medications yet?
