I am currently using a cream prescribed by my foot doctor, Ketamine10% Flurbiprofen10% Baclofen4% Verapamil7% Tetracaine2%. I had to have the lab adjust the formular with my doctors approval, to it current percentage as the original formular was useless. It works a bit better, but I feel it could use some more tweeking. Any suggestions? Also I recently injured my knee and have been using it on that as well. I've read the comments above and plan to discuss some of these options when I see the knee guy in a couple of weeks :( Thank you ## Hello, Jeff! How are you? As a topical cream, this really isn't going to alleviate intense pain. There's only so much it will do, since you don't really absorb much of the medications, at all. And no, I've no suggestions for tweaking,...

I recently started a baclofen, amtripyline & gabapentin cream for vuladynia. I have just discovered redness, almost burn like on the edge of the vulva and on my leg. I can not find any information as far as side effects and the doctor's office did not know. I don't know what to do. ## I have been diagnosed with vulvadynia and been working with my gyn/uro doctor for over a year. I have used nustatin, clobetasol, & topicort with no success. I also use Premarin vaginal cream twice weekly. Last week her prescribed a special compound of amitriptyline, baclofen & gabapentin. Has anyone tried this combination. I have a long history of UTI's and major bladder repair surgery including 2 slings of cadaver tissue on my bladder & urethra. Following surgery I was told my ...

Can anyone tell me the prescription trade name for a cream containing baclofen 20 mg, ketoprofen 150(?), and lidocaine 50 mg? ## From my own investigation, pain creams that contain these types of ingredients are formulated in compound pharmacies and therefore do not have a trade name like many other topical prescriptions. These are just generic topical formulas that can vary in ingredients with anything from what's listed below, to other combinations that I have not included here: -Baclofen, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen, Cyclobenzaprine, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine, Dicyclomine -Ketoprofen, Gabapentin, Lidocaine, Amitriptyline Hope this helps! ## My compounding pharmacy calls it Baclo-Keto-Lido 2/10...

This cream (diclofenac 3% / gabapentin 6% / baclofen 2% / lidocaine 5%) and doxepin hydrochloride 5% cream is supposed to be used for pain in my knee and back. I found the second cream but the first which contains four different items is hard to track down. The warnings and interactions is what I am concerned about. ## Generally, these creams can vary from doctor to doctor, and they need to be made by a compounding pharmacist. Thus, they aren't usually "in stock" anywhere, they are made specifically according to what your doctor has ordered. Do you have a compounding pharmacy in your area? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including skin irritation, redness, flaking, and burning. ## The compounding pharmacy is about thirty miles away and they use UPS for del...

I just got a prescription for a "new" pain relieving cream from my Pain Management Center. cream with baclofen 2% bupivacine 1% cyclobenzaprine 2% diclofenac 5%. It does not have a "Name" - What is it? are there side effects with topical use? ## This is something specially ordered by your doctor that needs to be made by a compounding pharmacy, so there is no name for it. Your doctor chooses the ingredients for the cream according to what they think will help you. Both Baclofen and Cyclobenzaprine are muscle relaxants, the Bupivicaine is a local anesthetic and Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. And side effects should be minimal for topical use and may include skin irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just got topical medication for achill...

is keprocaine cream good for knee pain and inflamation ## Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what little bit of information I could gather, Keprocaine cream is a topical pain cream with the following active ingredients: Ketoprofen - nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug Baclofen - used to treat muscle spasms and tightness Cyclobenzaprine - skeletal muscle relaxant Lidocaine - local anesthetic With that said, I do believe it could be beneficial for knee pain and inflammation. Additionally, I would also highly recommend looking into "hyaluronic acid injections" for knee pain, as I've heard some great things about its effectiveness. I hope this helps!

Hi, I just received this cream from my pain management doctor. I have had 2 LS surgeries for severely sequestered discs, severe radiating pain and peroneal nerve decompression. Continued pain/numbness in my R leg due to radiculopathy. I take 3000mg of Gralise (gababentin) - Yes, you read correctly! I take 5x the amount of Gralise to decrease the nerve pain in my leg. Do you think there is hope with this topical cream? ## Hi Jennifer, The cream you're describing containing baclofen + cyclobenzaprine + gabapentin + ketoprofen + lidocaine, is reportedly prescribed as a topical pain reliever. Moved from Alabama to Kansas and cannot get keprocaine cream in Kansas. Any suggestions on where I could purchase cream. My Dr. will write a presc. but it is not good in Alabama and the Lab in AL. does not accept a Kansas prescription. Open to anyone that can solve my delima. Thanks, Dee ## Are there any compounding pharmacies in your area? If so, then your doctor could write a prescription for it by the active ingredients and the pharmacy can actually make it for you. I am not sure, however, if your insurance would cover it, or not. That depends on the type of insurance you have. Keprocaine contains Ketoprofen, Baclofen and Cyclobenzaprine, so it combines a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory with 2 types of muscle relaxants. Learn more Ketoprofen details here. Could this cream cause a scaly red rash that itches if using too much? ## Hi Madonna, Concerning side effects, The US National Library of Medicine (also known as NIH.gov) lists skin rashes/itchy/red/blistering/peeling/ or otherwise as potential symptoms and/or allergic reactions relating to all of the medications listed above, except for Baclofen. So just to clarify, this includes Ketoprofen (Keto) + Cyclobenzprine (Cyclo) + Lidocaine (Lido). And this isn't necessary in regards to using too much, but just happen to be side effects in general. NIH goes on to state that you should contact your doctor immediately if you do experience these symptoms. I hope this helps answer your question!
