Backwards D P 500

I have a pill here that is pinkish and is stamped with a black label that looks like a backwards G 500 on one side. No other marks. What is it? My friend said she takes them to go to sleep. ## Hi Khrystyna, Unfortunately I haven't come across a pill with that exact imprint. The closest match I can find is Ranexa (500 mg) which is used in the treatment of Angina. It belongs to the drug class "antianginal agents". Common side effects can include: Dizziness, headache, constipation, and nausea. It is a light orange oval pill (appears light pink) with the imprint GSI500 on one side and nothing on the back. Manufacturer: Gilead Sciences National Drug Code (NDC): 61958-1003 Has anyone else seen a pill similar to the one Khrystyna has described?

It's a round large tablet with a backwards D and right way P with 500 under the halfway line..... ## I found a Large round white pill with a backwards D and a regular P then a perforated line with 500 on bottom half. What is this ## Just out of curiosity, whereabouts did either of you locate this tablet? Sometimes the origin of a pill can provide further insight as to its contents. Perhaps it would be best to take the tablet into a local pharmacy and see what they think? I'd even consider looking into sending this tablet to a lab for a GCMS content analysis. However from your description alone I'm pretty convinced that it contains 500 mgs of something...Lol. In my investigation, Ciprofloxacin was a possible contender Please post back if you come across any additional informa...

Markings are on one side. There is what looks like a backwards G and a 500 ## Hi Travis, I located an orange pill marked G 500 on one side; but it is noted to be round and not oval. There is also a score line on the backside of the pill. The "G" is a bit more indented into the pill than the number "500". It is identified as Sulfasalazine 500 mg. Sulfasalazine is mainly used for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is also effective in several types of arthritis, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. Does this sound like a possible match? I can provide more details on it if need be.

I've been searching for this one for you for awhile now and I just can't find anything that matches it in the U.S. prescription drug databases that I've checked. That makes me suspect that it's most likely something that's available over the counter, or a foreign medication. Where did you find it?
