I have been on Prexum 4mg for a month and my bloodpressure only came down to 140/95. I had lower back aches most days and stopped running and cycling. There wasn't much improvement with the back ache. Then I went onto Prexum plus 2 weeks ago as the Dr wanted BP to be lower. I now have severe back ache and lower back spasms that even walking seems to make it worse. I have been to the chiropractor as well as the physio with no improvement. Could this be a side effect of the medication? ## Yes, some blood pressure and cardiac medications can cause that as a side effect, as reported by the NIH. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. You may be better served by switching to a different medication. Is this your only daily medication?
