I've been taking losartan since February & felt pretty good on it. But in the last month my skin is falling off my face it's so dry & I have constant leg & back pain it's a real effort to walk. My doseage hasn't changed/ why would this happen now? ## Hello, Jane! How are you? These medications tend to eliminate fluid from the body by increasing urination, thus, you may be dehydrated, if you aren't taking in enough fluids to make up for it. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness and headache. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need to switch to a different medication. ## I also suffering back pain for a long time, then I visited some docs and therapist, my last visited place was la clinica, they treated like a...

I will be having my second injection of prolia next month. I am experiencing back pain now and then. Sometimes when I have been in arm chair for awhile and when I first get out of bed in a.m.it is quite painful. Other times there is no pain and I feel good. Sometimes it starts for no reason. ## Hello, Sheila! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Aches and pains can be a normal side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience headache, dizziness, cough, and ear congestion. I have no idea what this might do for me. The last stuff he give me didn't do squat. What is out there for the people that have constent pain? ## Ralivia works for me. It is about the only thing that does. It is a 12 hour medication. But, it is not covered under canada health care.

My husband has a blood clot in his stomach he wants to take Celebrex also because he has back pain the doctor don't want him to take the Celebrex because it contain aspirin what else can he take can he take ultram ## Hello, Ga peach! How are you and your husband? Celebrex does not contain Aspirin, it is just in the same drug family, so it can cause the same risks. There are many other analgesic options available, but with that blood clot and his health, only his doctor is going to be able to tell what he can and cannot safely take. What options did his doctor offer? ## Hi, For back/neck pain I think your husband should consider seeing a chiropractor for treatment. I don't know where you're from, but if you're anywhere near Centreville, VA... there's a good place call...

I have been suffering due to severe lower back pain for years ( may be because of my over weight). Consulted several physio but its of no use. Finally I approached irehab for advice. And in return I got a good response too. Now I've been slowly recovering from my back issues. I still wanted to know if there is any other pain killer tablets available in the market for this kind of back problem particularly due to over weight. ## just lose the weight and see how much better you will feel, nothing is worse than pain and if losing weight instead of taking harsh medications would be of some relief this should be a no brainer!! trust me I have taken every pain medication known to man and if I had my choice I would rather change my diet and excercise if this was to be of some help. ## I ag...

Any suggestions for something stronger than vicodin? It really doesn't work anymore. I take two 7.5mg doses every 4 hours 3 x a day and A LOT of motrin. ## Wow! Does your doctor know that you are taking the Vicodin and Motrin? It is really not good to be taking both of those. The Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and the Motrin contains Ibuprofen. As to what else you can use for pain, there are many other options on the market, if the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin is no longer cutting it. One option that would be stronger is Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. However, you may wish to cut down on the Acetaminophen, especially with the amounts of it and the Ibuprofen you have been using and the Oxycodone is also available, in several formulations, by itself: You can also ...

Can I take Olfen-retard together with Norgesik? If so, how much of BOTH can I take daily? Please answer me promptly as the sciatic pain is unbearable. Thanks. ## Hello, Vivian! How are you? No, they should not be taken together, since both contain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so you'd be essentially doubling up, which, as listed by the U.S. FDA, may increase the risk of stomach damage, ulceration, liver damage and the risk of bleeding. It would be best to stick with one, or the other, as directed by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

Within 3 days of taking 20mg of xarelto I could not move. Back pain, spasms and muscle stiffness was horrible. Informed cardiologist who disregarded my complaints. Have been off xarelto 8 months and still suffering from back pain and stiffness. It is unknown if this is permanent. I hope to God that is not the case. Xarelto has ruined my life. ## It would be very odd for medication side effects to last that long after stopping the medication, though the FDA does list them as possibly including headaches, joint pain, and muscle pain. Are you on any other medications? Is it possible that there may be some other cause for these issues? ## Hello, My husband is experiencing the same thing. He has since switched blood thinners. The pain is still so bad. Doctors say it’s potassium and mag...

I'm taking the hydrocodone acetaminophen 10/325 norco's for torn and herniated disc , it seems not to be working , is there anything that I can ask for that would be stronger ? I am tired of hurting , what advice can you give me so I know how and what I can ask my doctor so it does not look like I am addicted or a drug abuser. ## Hello, Johnnie! How are you? You could speak to your doctor about trying Percocet. The Oxycodone in it is stronger than Hydrocodone and it still contains Acetaminophen to augment it's action. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But really, it's better to just let your doctor know that ...

I take Percocet 3x a day for Chronic pain from my neck down. The Percocet does not last the 8 hours like the bottle say. Just wondering if i could take a 1 pill of Equate with Acetaminophen 500mg with one Percocet. or one Tylenol with Acetaminophen 325mg with 1 Percocet. Would this be safe !!!! The Percocet that i take 3x a day only last 2 hours if that. I also take 3x a day Gabapentin 600 mg but makes me really tried all day so i stop taking them. ## What specifically are you taking? Can you please post back and clarify with the details from the prescription bottle? The reason I am asking is because Percocet contains Acetaminophen with Oxycodone, so it may not be safe for you to add more. The FDA warns that Percocet carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, su...

I am 71 and for the past 6 months been in pain management for herniated discs lower back. I recently stopped the lowest doses of oxycodone/acetaminophen and morphine er. Did not help pain. Dr and I have just about exhausted trying many pain meds. Yesterday he prescribed 10mg methadone. I cut them in half. This morning I took 10mg. Wish I had not done that. I could deal with the little upset stomach but the dizziness lasted almost 9 hours..terrible. I will take 5mg once or twice a day thru weekend but pain level still at a 9. So if I still have pain by Mon will call dr and stop med. What scares me is he said prednazone would be next. I have read that this med has some really nasty side effects. Hi! My doctor told me not to take cyclobenzapr 10 mg on a night before I went to work as it would make me tired. Then when I get the prescription it says take 3 times a day. I took it one night and was tired pretty much all day the next day after sleeping for about 12 hours (which is something I very rarely do)!! I'm not sure if this was the reason I was tired all day.. It could have been a combination of a cold, stress, back pain, and the meds.. I'm also taking meloxicam once a day which could make me tired also.. I guess I'm wandering if I can take it three times a day? I'm a little scared I'll be too tired to do anything!! I'm also wandering if there's more of a problem.. My dr says it's tight muscles due to spasms and there's nothing I can do exce...

After using Symbicort for only two days, I developed intense back pain sending me to the ER. That pain began on May 25th and it is now July 9th and the pain is still very bad, mostly in lumbar area and side. No pain down either leg. After going to ER two times for pain help, and two other doctors. I went to a pain doctor. I was given an injection in my back on the right side on June 25th. I am due for the second injection on July 28th on the left side. The pain is still severe and I am on Hydrododone 7.5 / 325 every 4 hours. The pain doctor wants to be in complete charge of pain meds, so I am only on the hydrocodone. How long does this Symbicort remain in my body? I am really depressed and discouraged. Please help. How dose factor in on someone that in going to be on pain pills for life? ## It is normal for your body to get used to the dosage you are taking, after you have been on it for a prolonged period of time. Once this occurs, you will usually require a dosage adjustment or switch to a different medication. As to what you can do, you need to speak to your doctor regarding what your other treatment options are. Hi there, I have been on Micardis 40 mg for 5 weeks & for at least 18 days I've been suffering from lower back pain. Has anyone suffered from this. I'm going back to my gp on Monday but also have a physio appointment in case it's just a coincidence. Thanks ## It can be a side effect of this medication and I have experienced it myself from several blood pressure/cardiac medications. In all cases, I had to see my cardiologist and switch medications. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
