What is this medication? The lot number is 1206253b and it's an oblong red pill. ## Hi Trace, To the best of my knowledge there's no way to identify specific medications based on lot numbers alone. However, if you happen to know the pill's National Drug Code (NDC) or if you can provide any details pertaining to whatever imprint is on the pill you possess, that would be of great help. If there is no marking or imprint to be found, I'd probably encourage you to look into having this pill analyzed by a lab for 100% verification. Alternatively, depending on where you found it or who you got it from, you might even want to consider the idea of purchasing a drug panel kit from any local pharmacy to determine whether or not any illicit substances are present. This pill is white and oblong. It has a print of VP50 on one side and nothing on the other side. ## @Whitaker, Based on your description, the closest match I could find was a white oblong shaped pill marked with VP 120 on one side and blank on the other. It's reportedly identified as a Sulfamethoxazole (800mg) + Trimethoprim (160mg) DS tablet, used for treating a variety of bacterial infections. I realize the imprint isn't spot on, but because they are very similar, I have a strong feeling that they could be made by the same manufacturer (Vista Pharmaceuticals). Perhaps you can try contacting them directly for more specific details on whether VP 50 is something they make. The phone number/extension to reach them at is listed on their website as 973-736-1952/4457; based out of We...

Is it safe to take Ciprofloxacin pills white oblong VP 120 in combination with adder all 30mg tablets? also, the Ciprofloxacin expired in 2008. ## The tablets with this marking aren't listed as being Coprofloxacin. They are listed as being a different type of antibiotic that is sold under the name brand Bactrim, which contains the active ingredients Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim. It does not get dangerous, past the expiration date, but it does lose effectiveness, which ups the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. I am not finding an interactions listed between it and Adderall, but you should really consult a doctor, or pharmacist to be certain and to get a more recent prescription of an antibiotic, if you need it. Is there anything else I can help with?
