Folate, also known as vitamin B9 and folacin,[6] is one of the B vitamins.[3] Manufactured folic acid, which is converted into folate by the body, is used as a dietary supplement and in food fortification as it is more stable during processing and storage.[7] Folate is required for the body to make DNA and RNA and metabolise amino acids necessary for cell division.[1][8] As humans cannot make folate, it is require...

B12 injectible is 5 years past exp date. Is it still effective? Can it cause illness? ## Hello, Cookie! How are you? Yes, liquid formulations can actually go bad, once they are expired and it could make you sick to try to use them. It would be best to see your doctor for a new supply, if needed. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea and administration site irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take the B12 shots intermusclular injection in my legs. The last batch of this I got seems to be thicker than the other I took. Can this be diluted with water? Thanks for any help. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist? I wouldn't suggest thinning it out, without consulting them to be sure that it is safe to do so. Its seeming to be thicker could just be a matter of your perception. ## Thanks so much for your reply. I was taking Cyanocobalamin Vitamin B12 shots which is thinner. That was the difference. Taking the Tribedoce was thicker and was pain full when I took the shot and right after the shot for about 30 mins. I am going back to the other. Thank you so much for your reply. Hope you have a good week. Thanks, Debbie

I currently have 50mcg tablets and I am trying to take 200mg. How many would I have to take? ## Hello, Anthony! How are you? Are you sure it's safe for you to take that much? That would be a very high dosage of B12 and too much of it can be very dangerous. Have you been shown to be low in via lab work? How much have you been instructed to take? ## Hi Anthony, I am a big proponent of Vitamin B12 at high doses, but even I don't recommend taking 200 mg per day. It's perfectly safe to take up to 5 or 10 mg per day, but to do so, you'd be better off buying capsules that contain 5 mg per tablet, because if you are trying to get those doses taking 50 mcg tablets, you'd be taking almost a whole bottle at a time! You can see my page on Vitamin B12 Dosage here.

That said, other than several people who have posted about it on here, I also cannot find any information on what these contain, nor does a search turn up any sites that are offering it for sale. I have two prescriptions, are these the same thing? Buprop 12 Sr Tab 150mg W Buprop 24XL Tab 150MG ## What is the difference in bupropin 12sr and bupropin sr150 ## There is no different in the medications, they both contain 150mgs of controlled release Buproprion. The 12 and 24 just designates a dosage duration, some people take the time released once daily, thus the 24, and some take it twice daily, thus the 12. However, for you, follow your doctor's instructions for your dosing. If they have said to take it once a day, then take it once a day. If they have said to take it twice, then take it twice. Are there any other questions or comments?

Betamox is an antibiotic that's used to treat infections. It seems the doctor might think that you're child has a respiratory infection. Hi, can i use betamox 125mg for my son? He has the flu and his nose is blocked. He is 5 months old. ## No, this medication can only help with bacterial infections, as reported by the U.S. FDA. However, the flu is caused by a virus, so this will not do anything to help. Have you consulted his doctor? Flu symptoms are often just treated according to the symptoms, such as using something to prevent nausea, fever, and the congestion.

B vitamins are a class of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism and synthesis of red blood cells.[1] Though these vitamins share similar names (B1, B2, B3, etc.), they are chemically distinct compounds that often coexist in the same foods.[1] In general, dietary supplements containing all eight are referred to as a vitamin B complex.
