I just finished taking penicillin vk 500mg and it was not working. I have some azithromycin 200mg. Is it ok to take this a day after stopping penicillin? ## Hi Ashley, I guess I can only speak for myself if I were in this type of predicament, but I would probably opt to take the azithromycin without worry if the penicillin wasn't working for me. I think that by waiting a day in between switching antibiotics, it should (in my opinion) be no different than continuing with the treatment regimen -of course, still following the prescribed dosing guidelines thereafter. However, I would also look into taking a probiotic immediately after finishing the course of antibiotics to help replenish good bacteria in the body. This is all theoretical based on what I would do for myself. If in doubt,...

how do i administer Samitrogen to treat an STI, i got the 500mg with 9 pills, do i need to finish all of them. ## Hello, Jo! How are you? Azithromycin is an antibiotic that can treat bacterial infections, but it may not be the correct one to treat yours, if you have one. It is also not the preferred one to treat UTI's. You should have this checked out to make sure an infection is present and then get a prescription for the appropriate medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So I took one capsule of samitrogen last night hoping it would help me with my Urinary track infection I was in a lot pain and I’m feeling much better today should I stop taking them

I was prescribed by my doctor to take 1000mg at one time for an infection. I got the pills in MX and each bottle says 500mg and contains 6 capsules. Is each pill 500mg or all 6 pills together 500mg? Do I take it all at once or how do I administer these? ## Hello, Kristy! How are you? That means that each pill contains 500mgs of Azithromycin, so two would equal the 1,000mgs that your doctor prescribed and you should take it according to his dosing schedule. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

At the suggestion of a hotel doctor I bought Azitromicina 500mg for the treatment of a chest infection in MX. Tried to submit a claim for the cost via my US insurance as they say they reimburse worldwide RX expenses. But now they want the 11 digit 'national drug code' or no payout. I checked the FDA NDC database but: 1. it states all NDC's are 10 digit and: 2. obviously this is not a US product and therefore not in there. How can I find what I need to get my costs back? It is Zertalin Azitromicina 500mg (Collins Farmaceuticos) 6 tablets in a white jar with silver/black/blue label. The pharmacist 'said' it was a 2 course pack for 3 days I.E. 1 tablet per day for 3 days (2 courses contained). Is this correct also? I usually have known ZPak or Azithromycin to be 2 on th...

Are cephalexin green and red capsules the same? ## The same as what, exactly? There is a green and red Cephalexin capsule that has the marking SQUIBB 181 on it and it contains 250mgs of Cephalexin. So, if you are asking about the dosage, then no, because it only contains half the dosage of the 500mg capsules. Cephalexin is an antibiotic and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. ## Pill identity please. Could this be cephalexin 250 mg... It's a bright pink oval tablet with AT250 on one side and >> on the flip side. ## Diego - did you start another thread about this? Regardless, what you are describing appears to be Azithromycin 250 mg manufactured in Canada. This is also an antibiotic, but different than Cephalexin.

Can I take Craztronin 500mg with high blood pressure medication? ## I decided to select a number of well known blood pressure medications from different classes to check for interactions with the antibiotic Craztronin (Azithromycin). I used the UCLA Health drug interactions checker for this. The drugs i checked against are: - Hydrochlorothiazide, HCTZ - Atenolol - Lisinopril - Losartan - Amlodipine No interactions between Azithromycin and the above blood pressure medications came up. That does not mean there aren't any others, it simply means that nothing came up for the drugs that I chose. If you are taking another specific medication, please let me know. ## Hi Dest, which blood pressure medication are you taking?
