i took the pill at night after dinner and the day after i didn't feel so good i had some stomach problem and i felt like vomit is that a normal reaction ??? should i take 250 instead of the 500 ?? should i keep taking it or stop ??? thanks roy ## Based on my research, stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting all appear to be common side effects of Azithromycin. Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a697037.html#side-effects To my understanding, most side effects like this won't necessarily go away until you stop taking what's causing them in the first place. However I'd still recommend contacting your doctor first before stopping any medications. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Azithromycin Details I hope this helps!

Will Azithromicina 500 mg work for impacted tooth as well? ## Hi Johnny, From what I could gather, Azithromycin is commonly prescribed for dental related infections. However if the tooth needs to be extracted (perhaps via root canal) due to decay or nerve damage, my understanding is that an antibiotic will only help for so long until you get the necessary procedure(s) done. And to help address your other question about an impacted tooth, Azithromycin fights infections throughout your body and not just one specific area, so it really should cover all basis where an infection is present and not just a single tooth. Have you already gone to the dentist for an evaluation?

I got two medications this morning metronidazole 500 mg 4 tablets and azithromycin 500 mh 2 tablets. I waited til 7pm to take the azithromycin I took both pills. I just finished taking penicillin vk 500mg and it was not working. I have some azithromycin 200mg. Is it ok to take this a day after stopping penicillin? ## Hi Ashley, I guess I can only speak for myself if I were in this type of predicament, but I would probably opt to take the azithromycin without worry if the penicillin wasn't working for me. I think that by waiting a day in between switching antibiotics, it should (in my opinion) be no different than continuing with the treatment regimen -of course, still following the prescribed dosing guidelines thereafter. However, I would also look into taking a probiotic immediately after finishing the course of antibiotics to help replenish good bacteria in the body. This is all theoretical based on what I would do for myself. If in doubt,...
