sir i am having fever and cough, doctor prescribed me azithral 500, calpol 500, levocet and a cough syrup. What i want to know is about this antibiotics. Does it help in killing the viruses or it'll only supress it. Is it good to avoid the antibiotic and take the rest of the medicines? ## An Antibiotic will not do anything for a virus, it will not treat it, clear it up or suppress it. Antibiotics are only effective at treating bacterial infections. What medications you take are up to you, I can't tell you what you should or shouldn't take. It shouldn't cause a problem with the hives, unless you're allergic to it, but you should only take it, if your doctor has prescribed it for you. I am 6 months pregnant and taking Azithral 500 for 3 days prescribed by my Doctor as a treatment of Cold & cough I am suffering from more than 3 weeks.Will it affect my baby as usualy said by people that Antibiotics are harmful and should not take during pregnancy.

hi,i have man pimples on my face and doctor prescribed me to take azithral for 3 weeks ,3 times a week..i have been taking azithral for 3 times a week,i have to complete my dose which is 9 tablets in 3 weeks.now i m done with 6 tablets for 2 weeks ,one week is left for me to complete my dose.my period for this month is not as usual i get,i m just having the dark brown discharge which i usually get it after my 4th day period,there is no bleeding just the very dark brown discharge,as in my usual periods in the first 3 days i usually get heavy bleeding,but after taking the medicines i m just getting very dark brown discharge .i m about to get married in a month , is this normal or do i have to stop taking this medication,hope to get reply soon.

helo sir,m a 27 year old female, i took asithrol 500 tablets which were 10 in numbers every alternate day,after that m having heavy bleeding in mense periodsfrom last 3 months,in last two months i felt the ovolution as usualy but in dis month i had da period but didnt felt da ovoluation.is is a sing of ovarian infection oor uterus infection/fibriod/any due to asitharal side effects.pls help me m very tensed bcoz m nt married yet now and probably to get married soon ## dont get panic its common

Does Azithral 500 have any effect on the CBC? I have taken 5 tablets ( one a day for 5 days) together with Zanocin 200 (14 tablets --2 tablets/day for seven days) at the same time. I have polycythemia vera (JAK 2 test negative) and normally my Haemetocrit & haemoglobin values are high. However, when taking a blood test 2 days after finishing the Zanocin & Azithral tablets the results showed normal levels HG 12.2 & Haemetocrit 41
