I'VE was on Axiron for about a month and I'm wasnt noticing anything from this, I went to my doc and stated that its not working and my TV levels went down so he now has me on the shot of testosterone and within 3 days, I felt remarkable and I continue to feel remarkable, what a major difference in the effect. Again I tried the Axiron and it no way in hell made me feel this good, I mean i have energy and my libido is fired up, plus I'm feeling great in the gym. ## Unfortunately, not every formulation or medication works for everyone that tries it,t hat's why there are usually several options in any given therapeutic category. It's great that you have found something that's working for you, though. Learn more Testosterone details here. Did you try any natural solu...

Has anyone found any site or group that will help cover the cost that about $400? Any help or leads or suggestions be greatly appreciated. ## On their website, Axiron.com, they do have a co-pay card that helps lower what you have to pay for it, usually it makes it between $25 to $75 a month. Learn more Axiron details here. Unfortunately, if your insurance doesn't cover it, or if you don't have insurance, I haven't found any assistance programs for it. Have you tried asking your doctor about a cheaper alternative? Sometimes the injections are much less expensive. ## Yes read the co-pay card it only covers $25-$75 of insurance co-pay or of retail price. Their program changed earlier this year. As for less expensive there isn't any after you factor the office visit, the cos...

To all of you using Axiron, pleqae be careful! My husband used it for two years, 60 mg a day. He is in his early 40's and suffered a stroke a few months ago. If you start to feel a pain or numbness in one of your arms or hand, pleaae stop. His T level was a little under 300. Please be careful taking this! ## Hello, CC! How are you? How is your husband doing? I am so sorry about what happened. Yes, these testosterone supplements have been tied to an increased risk of stroke and cardiac events. Thank you for posting this warning for others.

I noticed an immediate improvement in overall feelings of lethargy after starting on Axiron. My overall energy was restored and feelings of tiredness that I'd experienced for years were finally over. The only negative side effects are the increase of body hair. Noticeable increase in underarm hair growth, pubic hair growth and chest hair distribution. My stomach was smooth prior to Axiron, now it's hairy. Also, my whiskers/beard are more coarse since being on Axiron. ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I'm glad that it's working so well for you. Other side effects that you may experience, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include skin irritation, redness, rash, irritability and headache. Are there any questions or comments?

I use Mitchum gel and using it first then apply Axiron. It becomes like a glue. Trying Axiron first then apply mitchum worked better. I use a mini fan to aid in drying, but still an issue. What is the best deodorant to use with Axiron? ## I'm sorry, but there aren't really an recommendations made, they just not that the use of deodorant shouldn't interfere with it's absorption. I really think it may just be a matter of trial and error, to see what works well, without leaving you a gooey mess. Have you tried asking a pharmacist for recommendations? They may have some ideas from other users. ## I use old spice deoderant not the antiperpirant deoderant. I use a hair dryer to dry the deoderant then apply axiron. No problems with stickiness. ## I was prescribed Axiron for Low...

I have been on 2 pumps of axiron for a month. Energy and libido were much improved. After about a month I started getting nausea so I stopped it on the recommendation of the DR for 2 weeks. Everything settled down. I was not nauseous, but my energy and libido also went away. I re-started it and am nauseous again. If the nausea got better over time I am willing to work through it. ## Hello, Ted! How are you? Yes, it should get better after a month or so, once your body gets used to it, but if you change the dose at any time, you should be prepared for it to recur. Did your doctor suggest anything you can take to help with the nausea?

I've been taking Axiron 2 pumps per day for 4 months now and the results have been nothing short of amazing. Much more energy and the libido of a 25 year old. Doc ordered a blood test and said T-level is "off the chart" and cut the dosage 50% last week. Now I angry all the time as well as sad, depresses and frustrated. This sucks! Anyone out there had a similar experience? ## The same thing happened to me. My first level was 238 and I'm only 36. I used two pumps of axiron every day for a month. My T level went up to 719 and I felt great. The PA told me to go down to one pump a day and 2 pumps if I felt that I needed it. Levels went down to 358 then 77. I was sent to a Urologist. He said that my body was still producing some testosterone at first and that it will eventual...

All The Axiron Literature Says To Apply It Only Underarms. Why? Doesn't Other Skin Areas Absorb the liquid? ## Hello, Ron! How are you? The skin there is generally thinner, so more will be absorbed and that is also a safer place to use it in order to prevent its transfer to other people, since it can cause problems for women and children. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So the concern is contact with other people. Not so much that it is unsafe for the user to apply it anywhere. Am I understanding that correctly? ## Started using Axiron July 30th, waiting for arm pits to dry after putting it on blows. Since it's an alcohol based product, and I decided to dry my pits after showering, then applying the T. Much easier this way. It dries completely, then I put my deodorant...

Please stop showing your commercials during the day. I saw it at 6:45pm. Hearing about testosterone is not appropriate while I'm with my kids doing homework! Please restrict your airing times to after midnight. FYI I see the commercial everyday while watching CH. 4 NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams at 6:30 PST. Thank you for your attention to this matter ## I am a man and I don't need to see tampon commercials, but that's just life. It's not like testosterone commercials are waving erect genitalia' around or anything. Testosterone is simply a hormone that has many many functions in the body. ## And this website does not manufacture and advertise any medications on TV. I'm sorry that you're upset, but this site is not responsible in any way. This site only ...

by accident I left my bottle of axiron in my trunk two nights in a row with it being sub 25 degs. Currently on this bottle and not sure if it's in my head or not but I feel a little crappy like low t symptoms . Is it a placebo? The bottle says on it for it to be kept between 55degs-70degs do you think me leaving it in the cold damaged it some how? ## Hello, Joltx! How are you? Yes, it may have caused some degradation, gel or liquid medications tend to degrade faster than solid forms. You may need to speak to your doctor and obtain a new supply. The FDA classifies this medication as a hormonal supplement and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and anger. Is it safe to use axiron and androderm simultaneously? I was on axiron for a year and my Urologist prescribed androderm. I read that axiron delivers 30 mgs of test versus 5 mg that androderm delivers. Will this drop in dosage cause unwanted side effects? ## Hello, Ed! How are you? Which dosage of the Androderm was prescribed? There is more than one available and how often do you change the patch via the prescribing instructions? A dosage change may result in your feeling more tired and having a lower libido for a few days, until your body adjusts. ## I was prescribed the 2 mg patches but they come off too easily especially when I sweat. My Urologist told me to go back to Axiron and one pump per armpit. Testosterone is the best. Test is best ...after a year on it I feel great. My concern...

Pharmacist is telling me supply is not meeting demand and i have a hard time believing that. My script has been backordered now for two and one half weeks. Anyone else having issues? ## Getting ready to turn 40 soon. I've been on various testosterone teatments since I was in my mid 20s. I've probably tried every available treatment and Axiron has been more effective with absorption and boosted my levels more than any other treatment, including injections. My experience with hormone replacement is after a period of time you should stop for another period of time. After consistent day after day application per Dr recommendation, I have always noticed undesirable side effects. Headaches, extreme fatigue, and a general lack of mental sharpness have all appeared after being on the me...

I am 41yrs and I used Axiron for about a Month and I have stopped using it for about 2wks now. is there any side effect apart from loosing my libido? Also I have decided to take a lot of vitamin D and Zinc and it seems it has been working alright. Any body have ideas of using vitamins to replace Axiron? ## Hello, Sam! How are you? Has there been any change? There is really no over the counter replacement for Testosterone, but upping some of your nutrients may help improve your levels, though there are no guarantees. Why did you stop using the Axiron? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hair growth, and irritability.

I would like to fill an Axiron prescription. My doctor suggested it to me but said because my insurance didn't cover it that it was probably too expensive. But I would like to order because my testosterone level is so low. ## Hi William - From what I can tell you are right, this is an expensive drug because there is no generic for it. You may have a couple of options for ordering this medication to make it more affordable. If your insurance doesn't cover this drug you might try to see if this site's Rx Savings Card might help when you go to fill your prescription. I think it might be something between 8-14% off in the case of this drug and you don't need insurance for it. But that might still be a little steep pricing-wise. Regardless I would get a prescription from your...

How are sales of Axiron performing? ## This is a question you'd have to ask the actual manufacturer. Quite possibly your pharmacist can provide this type of information about Axiron, but I wouldn't count on it being anything but local information based on that pharmacy's sales. Below are links to the manufacturer's official webpage for contact and informational resources: Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.
