I m 70 . I take Androgel 2.5 for low testosterone and libido . Now my urologist prescribed Avodart for some enlarged prostate My question is :can I combine both medications without risk ? Sir. What are the side effect of Concor cor 2.5 mg (beta 1 blocker) taken together with Avodart 0.5 mg and Fizatal XL 10 mg. Please give valuable advice, though I have taken for 4 months. When I told the consultant he changed concor with Preterax 5 mg. Thanx n regards. Ghani

besides flomax & hytrin and avodart what is there to treat BPH? ## I have BPH. I tried Avodart and found it frustrating: it was very effective in removing symptoms of BPH fast, but unable to move beyond turgid for intercourse; if climax occurred , it felt like someone strangled me down there, ie: the gun fired but no bullets. I was switched to Cialis 5mg: just as effective on BPH but slower to have an effect. Took 4 months for effects of Avodart to wear off. Gun has bullets. But Cialis also can have side effects in some people. ## You can learn more here about your BPH treatment options. I was up to 19 mg of Hytrin my physican recently put me on Flomax. .4 in the am and .4 in the pm . I don't think it's an improvement can I take 10 of Hytrin in the am and .4 Flomax in the pm ? I was taking Omnic T (0.4mg) and T. Proscar (0.5mg) for two years in Muscat. Avodart taken instead of T.Omnic due to not available.Doctor prescribed Tamsulosin and T.Dutas and Himplasia from India. Oman Doctor advised to take Tamsulosin, T.Dutas and Himplasia daily. My husband has added drugs for congestive heart failure in the last few months. He has developed a rash. the dermotolist ,after a biopsy say it is a drug interreaction. the new drug are digoxin,furosmide,xarelto,potassium cl re. He has been on lopresser.avodart,ramipril and crestor for years with no side effects. The dermotiligist also prescribed prednisone,which did stop the rash, but once he stopped using it, the rash returned. Is prolonged use of Prednisone harmful? When will we be able to obtain Avodart as a generic? ## The patent for Avodart expires in 2013, so after that companies will probably be able to start manufacturing the generic form of this drug.
