I live in Austin and want to get on Zubsolv. I was on Methadone for 1 year and switched to Suboxone for 8 months. I got off as I could not tolerate the taste. I overdosed on opiates 2xs in January. Please if anyone knows of a physician in central Texas please let me know. ## Dr Daniel Chen is excellent. In Richardson, Texas. I'm down to 1 tab a day. Even though I am still being prescribed 2 a day. ## For anyone looking for doctor subscribed, suboxone or zubsolv go-to naab.org (The National Alliance of Advocates for Buprenorphine). They have a physician match site. It may take up to 2 weeks. I heard from a great doc in less than 18 hrs. For anyone who lives in texas Dr John Morin in San Antonio is an exceptional doctor. ## If you are still looking for opiate addiction care and treatm...

Hi, I have had chronic back pain for years and have seen various doctors for the problem. Most have prescribed either tramadol or hydrocodone along with muscles relaxers sometimes. I've also tried a round of steroids (prednisone) as well as non pharmaceutical options like physical therapy, stretching and light exercise when I can tolerate it in an effort to strengthen my core. Most of these treatments have helped to some degree but the pain inevitably returns (and really many of the medications have only slightly dulled the pain but I still have had difficulty getting through the day even when taking them. So my question is, are there any sympathetic docs in the Austin area (or north like Cedar Park or Leander) who are willing to prescribe stronger pain meds and muscle relaxers anym...

Can you please help me with a name of a doctor in Austin texas that prescribes methadone? ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as a Methadone doctor. For pain, any doctor can technically prescribe, but many won't due to its severe habit forming potential. If you require it for addiction treatment, then you'll have to go to a clinic, because it would be illegal for a regular doctor to prescribe it for that. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## I used to be on Methadone and Vicodin, prescribed by a family doctor. I saw him for years until he mer...

I have been very ill for 12 yrs with fibro, osteo, and dengenerative neck joint disease, and have been treated very little for over 6 yrs by VA Dr.'s, then got my disability, medicare, and medicaid, and found a little better care with Family Dr., I then found a Pain Clinic , and received a little better care, but they still leave me in pain. I have tried what they asked me to do, and have still been left in pain. I don't know what to do? I am tired of hurting, and need a more aggressive doctor to help me. They don't believe in giving us much medicine, and told me that opiate meds don't help us fibro patients?? I don't believe this, but I also have arthritis, and possible RA. I have dengerative neck joint illness, and Osteo for sure. I was hit by a drunk driver going ...

I need an all around Dr I am currently taking a pain blocker, adderall and antibiotic Who trerats everything??? ## I'm very sorry, but due to the new regulations, you most likely won't be able to get any doctor to treat all of your issues and prescribe everything. There have been far too many issues from doctors prescribing improperly or over prescribing medications for conditions that they aren't specially trained to handle. What type of doctors are you currently seeing?

Can I take Requip and Xanax at same time for severe RLS ? ## Hello, Austin! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. But, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA warns that Xanax carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. The typical side effects of Requip may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, vomiting and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Who is the best pain management doctor in the Beaumont area? We just moved from Austin, and after calling around, can't find a good one. For starters, they all tell you right off the bat they don't prescribe Oxycodone. What? Why reject a drug before you even know a patient's history or what kind of results they've had with it. Why does every pain doc in Beaumont have this asinine attitude, and what alternatives do they offer? (I am already on Fentanyl patches, with a spinal stimulator, and that does not control the pain). I'd prefer someone who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield. ## The reason you're getting that attitude is because when someone calls asking for a specific medication, doctors have been taught to view that as drug seeking behavior and they'll tell y...

Have generalized pain and muscle pain, diabetes, high blood pressure, trigger finger, backpain ## Hello, Austin! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Escitalopram, which is an antidepressant that is also used to treat anxiety and some types of nerve pain. short part is mint green and the longer part is grey. its a pretty good size capsule with brown powder in it. ## Hello, Austin! How are you? If there are no markings on it, we can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription medication, since they are all required to have unique imprints to enable their identification. Some compounding pharmacies use capsules, but they are usually plain, since the colored ones generally cost more…that means that this is most likely an over the counter product of some type, but there is also a chance that it could be a foreign medication. Where was it found? Some over the counter products are regional, so knowing the general location might help to narrow it down. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does an...

Have been on oxycotin 40mg 3xdaily and percocet 15 as needed. Need a doctor who will spend time with me-long medical history. Any small town area around Austin or within 100 miles. Better yet, one that (internist-GP) who can assist in my adhd meds and knows anything about dextroamphetemine sulphate and how it can reduce pain anywhere from 50-100%. A life without opiods would be amazing. Plus, I have never addressed my ADHD-refused adderall. Have tried all the holistic hippie stuff and neuro/anti-depressants to no avail. Docs don't know what to do with me. ## Amphetamines don't help with the management of pain. There are some drs who will prescribe amphetamines to combat the sidew affects of some of the pain meds. But, those drs are few and far between, even if they are pain mana...

I took Fosamax 2 years. Dueling that time I developed atrial fib, was shocked once & placed on Multaq. Continued to experience other heart issues such PAC's, bijimeney & was scheduled for an ablation in Austin, Tx. The doctor that placed me on Fosamax dc'd it after the 2 years & a week or so later, guess what? All the heart irregularities disappeared. Three months out, still no heart irregularities. I'm so thankful that I didn't have the ablation before getting off the Fosamax. ## I'm very glad that you are no longer having any problems and hope that it continues. And yes, there are many reports of Fosamax causing atrial fibrillation in women that take it. Learn more Fosamax details here. Are you still having your heart function checked regularly?
