My doctor prescribed Atorva 40 mg tablets first for 1 month when my cholesterol was 388 MG/DL. When cholestorol, hdl & ldl levels became normal, he prescribed for 3 moths; again now after lipid test which is normal he has prescribed the same dose for 3 more months. Is it needed? Ihave been taking atorvastatain 10 mg since 05/2016 I have sever liquid stools and some I do not make it to the bathroom and I sure you now what happens. is this a side effct and what are the ither side effects. If your doctor has instructed you to lower the dose, it would be best to do as they've directed. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My husband was similar, so he weaned himself off the Statin (I forget which one it was) couldn't get any logical answer from the doc as to why not. He now takes no statins, and cholesterol is non existant.

Do atorvastatin calcium tablets cause breathlessness and heavy breathing if the tablet is taken after a meal, particularly when one is walking after having eaten and taken the tablet? If so, what does it mean? ## From my records I did not find anything stating that atorvastatin causes breathlessness or heavy breathing. I am 78 year old male from India. I am diabetic but under control and mild bp under control. My cholestrol level is 113, Tryglycerides 166, HDL 46, LDL 32 and VLDL 35 as on 16th dec 2020. Previously as on 15/9/2019 cholestrol is 111, tryglycerides 134, HDL 43, LDL 32 and VLDL 35. I have been taking Atorvostatin 10 mg since many years. But when this tryglycerides level is 166 from 134 recently , I feel i should raise the dosage and would like to take 20 mg atorvostatin. Colestrol ## ## I have severy problems to sleep. Can Aspavor play a role in it? How can I solve the problem? ## I've been on the following drugs:warfarin,Tritace, Plavix,Norvasc,Lipitor,Ecotrin. 2 Bypasses and 2 stents have blocked completely but collateral circulation has been established. New cardiologist has now reduced drugs to Lipitor, Norvasc and Ecotrin. Does this make sense if the full basket eliminated bypass and stent failure? ## I have been taking 10 mg Aspavor every night for the past 4 months. I have taken tg torF for about 40 days and my lipid profile shows colestrol 136, trygleseride 139 HDL 42, LDL 66. Please tell me should I take now tg tor only to control my lipid profile. ## What has your doctor advised? TG-Tor-F contains Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate, it is used to help lower cholesterol levels. I take losartan/hctz 50-12.5 mg, atorvastatin 10 mg and low dose aspirin in the evening before bed. Is it ok to take these together? ## It is okay to do so, as long as your doctor has told you take them all. After my CABG on 09.09.2010, I am taking Clopitab - A 150 Mg daily one after lunch as directed by my Cardiologist/surgeon. what is color of tablet ## All of the Aspavor (atorvastatin) tablets I've seen from 10mg all the way to 40mg dosages are either white or yellow in color; mostly white though.
