I'm sorry, but this website does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications. It is an information only website. Is there a manufacturer listed on the bottle?

I'm now 40. You should be just fine on Teva as it's just a different manufacturer from what I was told. I've been taking mylan m231 for 10 years. Because of "shortage" i'm now taking zydus z66. Are these two brands exactly the same or should I expect to experience some unagreeable symptoms? I've only been on zydus brand for two days. I'm not at ease with switching brands. The pills are to help maintain blood pressure. How dare a drug company "HOOK" you on a drug for life and then they don't have them available for patients? They are putting people's lives in jeopardy. Patients like me are experiencing more anxiety and have increased blood pressure due to a lack of concern they have shown by not ending this ridiculous situation. I can't understand how mylan has had a shortage for several months and zydus has not. Is zydus using the same ingredien...

I started on this drug about 3 months ago for mild high blood pressure and after about a month and half I noticed I was loosing a lot of my hair when I washed it and then noticed much more in my brush. Then others started noticing hair on my clothes all the time. I've read all I can find about this drug and do not find that to be one of the side effects. Has anyone else heard of this problem with this drug? ## Atenolol is not that of a problem, I had been using that for the last 13 years, so far I did not had any major side effect other than a humming sound in the ear, but Chlortalidone is not known to me yet. Any comment out there. ## I take the 100/25, and have been noticing the same problems. Have not really gave it a lot of thought, until now. Would like to know for sure if this...

im taking apo atennol 50mg beta blocker but stil thesame my bp 160/90,but i can't use otheres brand bcoz im getting palpitation,my cholesterol is 191 my LDL,im not taking treatment for cholesterol bcoz its to expensive ## What about trying something other than a beta blocker? There are other types of blood pressure medications on the market. I had similar type issues with the regular, straight beta blockers and the palpitations could just be due to your blood pressure being so high. You might want to check and see if Labetalol is available up there, it really helped me a lot when I had problems with the other medications and it stopped the palpitations for me, as well. Can a 25mg Atenolol tablet be scored? ## Are you asking if it's safe to cut in half? If so, then yes, as long as your doctor or pharmacist haven't instructed you otherwise and it isn't a time released tablet. My sensitivity to medications often makes me cut tablets, that aren't scored for cutting, so I can take a lower dose. My doctor just approves it first. ## Can you take 6mg of Atenolol to prevent or block an adrenal rush? I started using Atenolol 50mg daily in January 2002. For years I considered it a "wonder drug" since it easily took care of my BP issues and had no noticeable problems with side effects. I started noticing earlier this year that my BP was fluctuating more than normal... almost like the Atenolol was no longer effectively regulating it. I also just didn't feel like "myself" though I was still functional at home and work. Over the Thanksgiving weekend I developed Bradycardia episodes... a very slow irregular heartbeat that was approaching 40 beats per minute. These episodes increased immediately after taking my daily Atenolol dose. After the holiday I went to the emergency room and was there for a night in the hospital for observation. All results came back negative inc...

I was taking Amlodipine Besylate 10mg for about a year or so and my blood pressure is under control now. I have gone to a new doctor who put me on Atenolol 50mg because I was told one of the side effects can slow your heartbeat & I was concerned... Wondering which one is a better medicine when it comes to side effects? ## Hello, Kevin! How are you? There is no real best medication, since we are all different, so it depends on what works best for you, without causing unwanted side effects. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, hypotension, and headache. How are you doing taking the new medication?

Can you cut it in half? New to med. Noon dose still has heart rate in low 50s and will soon be time to take again. Last night was unnerving with low heart rate and breathing. I see cardiologist tomorrow for first time. PCP prescribed. I am asking cardiologist to reduce dose tomorrow but worried about tonight. ## It could be that it is too high of a dose for you, since the FDA lists that as being a known side effect of taking too much. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. What did your cardiologist recommend?
