Atenol/Chlor 50-25 MGTab
I started on this drug about 3 months ago for mild high blood pressure and after about a month and half I noticed I was loosing a lot of my hair when I washed it and then noticed much more in my brush. Then others started noticing hair on my clothes all the time. I've read all I can find about this drug and do not find that to be one of the side effects. Has anyone else heard of this problem with this drug? ## Atenolol is not that of a problem, I had been using that for the last 13 years, so far I did not had any major side effect other than a humming sound in the ear, but Chlortalidone is not known to me yet. Any comment out there. ## I take the 100/25, and have been noticing the same problems. Have not really gave it a lot of thought, until now. Would like to know for sure if this... ...

The manufacturer's web site does have a page on Thoratoz 50 mg, but unfortunately the image is not loading. The page is located at: Can you post back with a description of the pill, including shape, color(s), and any markings on the pill? ## It is a round shaped thick white pill with no markings. ## Darn, if only that picture would load on the manufactuer's site! laboratories that manufacture atenolol 50 mg in the usa
I don't want to take any meddication manufactured in India, China, Sudan,or any third world countries, I want to Ingest, eat and wear only products manufactured in the USA please HELP! ## HI, Lucile! How are you? I do understand your stance on this and our country does need as much support as we can give…. However, I think that you are going to run into problems if you try to do this with your medication. A pharmacy isn't going to let you pick whose Atenolol you receive to fill your prescription. They generally stock whichever one was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to reorder and that's the one you get, when you go in for a refill. Unlike your grocery store, they don't offer you a selection to chose from. I really wish that I had better news fo... ...

Nebicard Vs Atenolol
my doctor spoke against the antenanol drug but has specified nebicard 5.both are beta blockers which one will have the least side affects. ## Atenolol is an old drug but the only bet blocker I can tolerate. I don't have edema in my feet anymore and I have more energy and less depression than with anything else. It also does the job for me just as well as any other drug. I take 50 mg twice a day along with a diuretic and my pressure is usually in the 120s or 80s even being over 100 lbs overweight. ## bhushan, since they are both in the same drug class, they both pretty much carry the same side effect risks, such as nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach pain. I'll put in some links so you can check out Atenolol details here and Nebicard details here. And Robby, even with good bl... ...

I was diagnose with high blood pressure (BP) about ten years ago (at 40 years) and my doctor prescribe Atenolo 50 mg which I used for about three years. Then my doctor added nifedipine 20mg which I am now taking for about seven years. About two years now I feel dizzy when I stand for some time and when I check my BP I am getting low reading example, 104/65, 95/60/, 112/75. My doctor did kidney's and diabetic's blood test which he said was ok. About one year ago I was diagnose with diabetics but it is under control. I reduce the nifedipine 20mg to 10 and later 5mg but still get the dizzy feeling at times. When I exercise(walking) 4-7Km every other day my BP even go down lower. Experiencing sweats today and wondered if this was a lower dose then what I was taking and it is impossible to find comparsion of strength of these medications. Please advise and thank you! ## Hello, Bradly! How are you? Yes, since they are different medications, you can't really compare the dosages. However, the sweats are likely caused by stopping the other medication and starting the new one, just your body's reaction. But have you checked with your doctor to be sure? ## Have checked but not satisfied yet, all I want to know is Atenolol 50mg equivalent to Losartan 25mg? My name Gloria. 75 years. Have High blood pressure For years prescribed Pharmapress 20 mg. Atenolol 50mg and Ridac water pill. Dr took away Ridac and replaced it with Amlodipine5mg once a day. My ankles look swollen and i am putting on weight. Dr said the Ridac takes away the Calcium out of my bones. I really feel I should be taking the waterpill. Please advice urgently. Thankyou. ## Hi Gloria, Sorry to hear about your situation with Amlodipine. "swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of this medication. So fortunately, you may have to talk to your doctor about discontinuing it anyways if the swelling doesn't subside. Hopefully then, he might reconsider putting you back on the water pill with a calcium supplement. There are als... ...
