I have started the fentanyl patch. I put my first one on and after 24 hours, I then realized it had two pretty small wrinkles in it and I'm not exactly sure if it is completely effective... Pain isn't quit there but not sure if it that will effect the absorbs ion into the skin. ## Two very small wrinkles should not really effect it, there is still enough in contact with your skin for the medication to be absorbed and work. I started my first pack at the end of january. After about three weeks of taking the pill, I missed quite a few and decided to throw that pack out and start over. I was wondering because I took an excedrin for my headache if I can also take two 2063 V pills containing 300mgs of acetaminophen + 30mgs of codeine phosphate? ## Both of these medications contain Acetaminophen, so there is a risk of overdose toxicity if you double up, according to FDA warnings. They state that you should not exceed 1,000mgs in an 8 period, and no more than 3,000mgs in any 24 hour period. Exceeding that risks overdose toxicity, which may include stomach ulceration, liver damage, liver failure, or death. Is there anything else I can help with?

I start every package on Wednesday. this is my first week and by mistake I took two pills on the same day what should i do? ## Hi Emma! How are you doing? Did you experience any unusual symptoms? Since they are hormonal based contraceptives, taking extra may cause cramping, breakthrough bleeding, irritability and headache. As to how to proceed, you should continue taking them daily through the rest of the pack, just as your are supposed to and, in most cases, you can just start your new pack a day early, basically changing your cycle by a day. That isn't a dangerous amount to take, unless it would interact with some other medication that you're taking, or it your heart rate and blood pressure are already very low, you had an allergy to it, or some other issue. However, you should be sure to watch for any danger signs, such as extreme dizziness, drowsiness, lowered heart rate, and shallow breathing. And, when in doubt, it is always best to check with your doctor, or a local emergency services.
