I have a 6 page email on the horrors of artificial sweeteners, especially aspartame. I'm not a medical man, but I think everybody needs to see this. It's horrifying. Give me a nudge if you would like a free copy. No sales nonsense, I just think you should see it! ## Yeah I've heard countless bad things about Aspartame and Splenda. Truth be told I just stick with natural sugar or honey at his point. From what I understand (and I could be wrong) Aspartame was originally banned by the FDA, but then in the 70s Donald Rumsfeld (then head of Searle) formed a special "panel" and pushed its approval through the FDA. Not sure if I have my facts 100% straight but my policy is to avoid foods that are not found in nature regardless...

My 7 month old was prescribed amox tr-K 600-42.9/5 suspension for an ear infection. I saw it had potassium and aspartame in it. I was also told to give my 7 month old Culturelle along with this which also has mannitol in it. Are these meds safe for a 7 month old and anything I should watch out for? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? It is far, far more dangerous to let the infection continue out of control, that can cause severe pain for your child and, if it went to far, it could cause sepsis and death. This is an antibiotic and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. The aspartame is just added to try to make it taste better for children, otherwise, it tastes horrible. Culturelle is a probiotic to help keep the goo...

I stumbled upon an article briefly mentioning its use for such symptoms, and was just curious to know if anyone w/ OCD symptoms actually had success with it? Here is a brief excerpt: "A single, intravenous dose of ketamine, a non-competitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) glutamate receptor antagonist, can lead to rapid anti-obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) effects that persist for at least one week in some OCD patients who have constant intrusive thoughts, according to this small randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial. This is the first randomized, controlled trial to demonstrate that a drug affecting glutamate neurotransmission can reduce OCD symptoms without the use of a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, according to the authors, and is consistent with a glutama...

i take actiq but i have diabetes why is there no sugar free kind i do not care if it has aspartame i just care about my blood sugar ## This website does not manufacture any medications, it is an information only website. As to why it contains sugar, I am not sure if there's a specific reason for it, but you might be able to check with the manufacturer to find out. They have a website at Actiq.com details Alternatively, have you tried talking to your doctor about using something else that wouldn't have so much sugar in it, such as the Fentanyl patch? It is a time released patch to manage pain, which is changed every 3 days and contains the same active ingredient as the Actiq. Learn more Fentanyl details here. ## I have sent an e-mail to Cephalon the manufacturer asking the same q...
