bursitis ## I have terrible pain in my knees so I consulted an orthopaedic and he has prescribed rotec t5 after an x'ray. I just want to know the side effects of this medicine and whether I should go for other tests? ## Arthrotec contains Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and Misoprostol, which is used to help protect the stomach from the damage that the Dicolfenac could potentially cause. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding. Will taking diclofenac/misoprostol separately (generics for the drugs in Arthrotec) be as effective as taking them combined as one pill. It will be much less expensive to take 2 generics. ## It's possible, but hard to say, have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist about this? The Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and the Misoprostol is there, really, just to help protect your stomach from the irritation and damage it may cause. Some of the most common side effects of using this include: nausea, drowsiness, headaches and diarrhea. You can read more about them here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## Absolutely not! My insurance company would not pay for the arthrotec75 because the two items could be obtain generically. The seperate pills, diclofenac and...

Until Dec 2016 I have been taking Arthrotec for years and never had a problem. Walmart will not take my plan D Envision RX Plus and so I switched to Walgreens which will. I am allergic to sulfa, sulfite, etc. and when I got Walgreens Arthrotec I got sick and had a blood clot. I ended up on Coumadin for probably the rest of my life and the doctor does not want me to take Arthrotec. Does Walgreens get their Arthrotec from Canada or some place that has a filler with sulfa? Arthrotec has worked for the pain of osteoarthritis and I do not want to have to go in the hospital again or give up the Arthrotec. They have told me to use Tylenol but it is useless. ## Hello Barb, I realize it's been one month since you asked this question and I don't have a direct answer for you. What I will s...

There are generics available for the drugs that are in arthrotec and I am wondering if it will be as effective if I take them separately. It would be a lot less expensive. ## You can find Arthrotec 50 for about $ .50 per pill versus approximately 8 times that price from an americam drug company. These are made by Pharmicia Limited (a Pfizer subsidery) ## Yes, taking them separately will still work the same as taking them combined in one medication. It is often done, if it is cheaper for someone than buying the combined, or name brand medication. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Arthrotec is listed as containing Diclofenac and Misoprostol. Is there anything else I can help with?

Now that I am taking pradaxa, I can no longer take arthrotec for arthritis. Is there any other arthritis medication I can take? ## Hello, Denis! How are you? I just found Rumoquin NF at Mexipharmacy. They don't seem to take credit cards, but offer other ways to buy. I've been taking Arthrotec 75 for about 14 years for arthritis all over my body. My pain seems to respond favorably to diclofenac and Arthrotec 75 contains misprostol as well, a stomach protectant. However, I ran out when last in Mexico and was sold Rumoquin NF at a farmacia. The diclofenac worked its wonders, but the additional ingredients, dexamethasone and methocarbamol, seem to potentiate the relief. Rumoquin NF is also orders of magnitude cheaper and I generally need take only one per day. Win/win. ## i would like to order some of the rumoquin how much is it? im from sacramento, ca ## Stacey, try mexipharmacy. Rumoquin NF is not easy to find, but seems to be sold pri...

I have Osteoarthritis, possibly Fibromyalgia, and two knees that are bone-on-bone and need replacement. Even though I take Tramadol 300 ER daily and Arthrotec, 2 Tylenol, and 2 Aleve three times a day, I am still in pain. Forgetting to take meds or being out of meds for a day causes unbelievable aches everywhere except my fingers, elbows and toes. I cannot work and cannot sleep. I also get very emotional and angry and my BP goes up. I will soon be having my first knee replaced. The doctor said I will need to be off all the pain meds except for Tylenol. I do not believe I can do this. A couple times the doctor has given me steroids when I was having a flare up and it completely eliminated the swelling and pain. What medications could I safely take in the 2 weeks prior to knee replacement...
