Hello. I have a very terrible pain on my knee for which I am taking zerodol. I want to know if this medicine can treat arthritis or if it's just a painkiller? Is there another medicine you can recommend? ## This medication can only alleviate the symptoms, such as pain and inflammation, there is no actual 'cure' for this condition. Some surgical procedures and therapies can help improve it and prevent it from worsening too fast, but nothing will actually cure it. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache, What has your physician advised?

I have arthritis everywhere, especially in the ankle, and also osteoporosis. For the osteoporosis I am 67yrs. I am taking Alendronic Acid once a week and have done for 4 yrs. For arthritis I take one each of the following daily (and have done for years):- one Glucosamine Sulphate, one Omega 3, one Zaldiar tablet and one Beline capsule. It seemed to work well for me except for severe hourly nightime lower leg cramps which obviously prevent me from sleeping. A month ago, I suspended all medication and have been in terrible joint pain and feel awful, however, the leg cramps stopped overnight. I now know that it is the Beline capsules which give me the severe cramps as I started to take them again yesterday. I need to know if there is a successful alternative to Beline? I have read about on...

I only have a sample. ## Artrosilium is an all natural product, which contains ingredients such as organic silica, black currant and Queen of Meadow extract. They do have a website and it appears that the only way to purchase it is through them, they can be contacted by phone at 800-229-0944, if you want to look into it, or get more information on the product. Today took 2 7.5 mg meloxicam by mistake for arthritic neck, at lunchtime. 3rd day. I am also taking 1 Panamax every 4 hours as I'm waiting to see a dentist for an aching tooth. Is this safe? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? That isn't necessarily a dangerous dose, but it does increase the risk of side effects, which the U.S. FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, bleeding and stomach irritation. However, you should inform your doctor as higher doses also increase the risk of liver damage. Panamax is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. They can be taken together, as long as your doctor or dentist approve, though that may al...

I'm 64 years old went to Orotho Dr today for arthritic knee he gave me a shot of cortisone in the knee I have a bad right hand also can I still take my 10mg of Oxycodone 3 hrs later ## Hello, Georann! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The FDA classifies Cortisone as a steroid and lists its most common side effects as possibly including pain, irritation, infection and skin pigment changes. Oxycodone is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

This was my 3 prolia injection, right away the worst arthritic attack wrists & hands, exzema head, eye involvement, very weak. blood work all over the place. have had 2 pancreatic attacks, 1 bowel blockage. Spent all my time resting no choice, finally in October felt a little stronger, able to walk around, no driving yet. I felt there was light at the end of the tunnel. November able to do groceries, small things but improvement. Then last week of November extreme weakness of the legs and arms unable to support myself, and my brain is off again hard to concentrate, I am feeling discouraged, when will I be OK. Everyone considering this drug please make sure you know all the side effects, I was told there were none. It is up to us to check for ourselves. ## Hello, Danielle! How are yo...

My pediotrist put me on 375 mg. of naproxin....it has relieved my arthritic pain 90%...can one stay on this drug very long???? I would like to stay on it forever!! since they took vioxx off the mkt. I am in constant pain. Thanks Addie ## My mother has been on this for years and now has kidney problems. Her kidney is only working 28% which is very bad. I would talk to my Dr. about taking this for any length of time. ## NSAIDS taken over long periods of time can be dangerous. For arthritis one can take glucosamine and tart cherries (Montmorency Cherries) which have natural anti-inflammatory properties.

I just started taking Losartan 50 mg. 3 days ago. I take arthritic meds. for gout so I asked the pharmacy if it would be ok to take this at 7 every evening. Now I am hearing that it should be taken of a morning. I take thyroid medicine first thing in the morning and then mid morning take the arthritis meds. Will it be effective taking the Losartan in the evenings ? ## Hello, Alice! How are you? When did you doctor instruct you to take it? Blood pressure medications are usually meant to be taken in the morning, so they can help control your blood pressure during the times of day when you will be most active and experience the most fluctuations. Taking it at night could cause it to go too low, since it naturally lowers at night, when you're at rest. The typical side effects of this me...

I have chronic pain issues. Numerous injuries, a spinal growth and advancing arthritic conditions have my left side barely ussable. I am permanently disabled at 44 and under the care of a pain management center. I was prescribed loritab/norco about 2 yeArs ago and of course the dose went and the tolerance built and by summer of 2014 I found myself taking 4 10's per day...and of course that wasn't enough so I found myself running low every month and spending the week or so before refills in extreme withdrawals. So I went to my general family doctor and started a Suboxone program and called the pain center and told them I didn't want Norco anymore and thought I as doing a good thing. But I forgot about one thing....the God awful pain. I have been on suboxone for about a month ...

DESPERATELY SEEKING PAIN MANAGEMENT DR/CLINIC THAT IS WILLING TO CONTINUE MY TREATMENT FOR ARTHRITIC KNEES WITH MORPHINE. how many tylenol #3 equals a 500/500 vicodin, i need to know for arthritic pain. ## It takes 33.33mgs of the Codeine to equal each 5mg dosage of Hydrocodone. Learn more Codeine details here. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Since the Acetaminophen potentiates the action of the narcotic and you have to be careful of how much of it you take in a day, you may want to just try one tablet and see how well it helps. I was on Percocet for 5 yrs for various areas of pain and arthritic knees. 6 weeks ago I went to Detox and was treated with Methadone. I am taking Ativan 1mg twice a day for the hand tremors. I have been on traditional American narcotics for more than 10 years to treat pain from advanced degenerative spine and arthritic spiny growths etc. in the spine. By now I am on TWO 75 mcg/hr Fentanyl patches changed every 2 days ( which works out to putting one on a day, yes.) I also had a prescription for the last TWO YEARS and approval for another 9 months for 800mcg Fentora ( a fizzy between the cheek and gum -- GOD! they really worked.) Well, I changed insurance at the insistence of the President and now I can't get the Fentora. Well, that leaves me desperate for relief. I can't afford a 100-150 dollar a day H habit, but NOTHING my doctor offers can help my peak pain. After being on the same dose of Patches for more than 3 years, a lot of that is just handling my addiction....

We do not live in the US, Rimadyl is extremely expensive here. At present I administer 25 mg twice a day to our two arthritic geriatic dogs [30 and 40 lbs]. Is there an across-the-counter drugstore substitute that would work as well? If so, what dosage & frequency? Thank you. ## I'm sorry, I am not familiar with veterinary medications. Have you tried asking your vet for a cheaper alternative or other treatment options? ## Rimadyl contains the active ingredient Carprofen - Depending on where in the world you are located, a generic or substituted brand name may be available. So I would suggest trying to find Carprofen or another medication which contains it. You can also read more about this drug (including alternative brands in other countries) on the page for Rimadyl Details... ...
