I recently experienced an insect bite on the back of my hand, which has led to swelling. My doctor has prescribed Trolic 5mg for me. Could anyone share insights on what exactly this medication does? Additionally, as I am currently on antiretrovirals (ARVs), I'm concerned about how effective Trolic will be in conjunction with my ongoing treatment. Any information or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. ## Trolic (Prednisone) is used alone or with other medications to treat the symptoms of low corticosteroid levels (lack of certain substances that are usually produced by the body and are needed for normal body functioning). Prednisone is also used to treat other conditions in patients with normal corticosteroid levels. These conditions include certain types of arthritis;...

I am 32 yrs, I had knee pain and ortho doctor suggested me Glucosamine + Diacerein Tablets for a month - Am I a patient of arthritis ? I am too young, How long should I continue the medicine ? ## Have you asked your doctor about what they think is causing the problem and how long you should take the medication? They are the only ones that will really be able to advise you on this. Athritis, however, is possible at any age, there are people even younger than you that suffer from it. The Glucosamine is a substance that naturally occurs in your joints, so supplementing it may help. The Diacerein is often given to treat arthritis, but it isn't used in the U.S., so the information we have on it is very limited. ## Thanks a lot, I am improving though not recovered fully. I do have access ...

Watson 10/325 yellow Norco has worked for 13 years - the white tablets I fillled are not helping WHATSOEVER. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpet tunnel in both wrists,3 herniated discs, 2 bulging discs and 3 fuses discs in my neck among a few problems. This is horrible - between this & the Qualitest bad pills that made me sick last month along with NO pain relief my Dr. is saying he is going out on a limb for me - no one is going out on a limb - we are simply standing up and stating obvious fraudulent pills being sold as pain relief when there is NONE. This is so horrible to live in pain and be afraid to call your Dr. again and tell them this has happened again now with a different brand that previoulsy worked before they "took out the yellow dye". Hello, I am diagonised for sero negative arthritis, my doctor has adviced me to take SAZO 500 (2 tablets/day). I am taking this tablet since September 2010. Please advice if this tablet is safe as am worried about the side effects. Thanks in advance. ## Sazo 500 contains Sulfasalazine, it is used as an anti-inflammatory. This may or may not pertain to you, but it also states that no studies have been done to test its use during pregnancy or breast feeding. I suggest you talk to your doctor about your concerns, just to be on the safe side, as I know nothing about your health, lifestyle, medical history and so forth that your doctor should have on file; however you can view a list of possible side effects associated with this medication in the link below: NOTE: you may need to scroll down...

As the U.S. population rapidly ages, I believe that a tablet's size must be made manageable for increasing numbers of us with arthritis, back and neck problems, myopia, shaky hands, etc. Miniscule pills dropped and lost on household floors require one to stop everything and crawl on hands and knees with reading glasses and a flashlight to find every last sucker --or better still, immediate vacuuming, as they are a lethal menace to infants and pets if left. I was dispensed generic clonidine HCl, 0.1 mg, manufactured by Actavis. This tablet's size is so maddeningly tiny that it's nearly impossible to shake just one from the container and get it into my mouth without dropping it or several more on the floor. Ironically, this med is commonly prescribed for nerve-related motor dy...

how many tylenol #3 equals a 500/500 vicodin, i need to know for arthritic pain. ## It takes 33.33mgs of the Codeine to equal each 5mg dosage of Hydrocodone. Learn more Codeine details here. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Since the Acetaminophen potentiates the action of the narcotic and you have to be careful of how much of it you take in a day, you may want to just try one tablet and see how well it helps. Did your doctor switch you and not provide any advice?

My husband has a very painful back. He was injured as a child when he was hit by a car. As an adult he now has arthritis in his hip and neck. He is going to a pain clinic and is given only 4 hydrocodone 7.5/500 per day to control his pain. He weighs 240 lbs. What should he be getting? He has had to take 5 per day to relieve his pain. I believe he should be getting at least 5 per day because of his weight. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Jet ## Narcotic pain medications aren't generally prescribed according to someone's weight. They are usually prescribed according to the severity of their pain and any tolerance that may, or may not exist, to narcotic opiates. For some people, even at the same weight as your husband, this dosage taken 4 times a day would be too muc...
